Background / History

Morax is not the original Rex Lapis, but a transmigrator from Earth who adopted the name and later altered it to “Morax D. China.” Upon arriving on Douluo Star, he received the Diary System, which increases his Soul Power through diary-writing, as well as an advance gift: the Grand Lancer Douluo Template. The template granted him two Martial Souls—Paimon and the Heart of the Geo Archon—and converted his former mana into Divine Power 13 16.

He initially travels toward the Sun Moon Empire to build an independent power base, study Soul Tool technology, and prepare weapons capable of killing gods. Though he does not seek control of the continent for its own sake, he sees the Sun Moon Empire as the best foundation for technological development and resistance against Tang San and the God Realm 6 15 94.

After demonstrating martial arts capable of defeating Soul Saints and Soul Douluos without Soul Rings, Morax is recruited as a teacher at the Sun Moon Empire Royal Soul Guidance Academy. His classes attract students and influential allies, while his plans expand from opposing Tang San to reforming the Soul Master system and uniting humans and Soul Beasts against the God Realm 17 21 99 103.

Personality

Morax is strategic, pragmatic, and strongly opposed to the God Realm’s control over Douluo Star. He views the Soul Master system as exploitative because it depends on killing Soul Beasts for Soul Rings, and he supports technological modernization, equitable contracts, and cooperation between humans and Soul Beasts 52 77 100 103.

He can be ruthless toward those he considers Tang San’s allies or threats to Soul Beasts. He is willing to exploit Xu Tianran to distribute the Contract Master system, arrange a scandal against Dai Yuhao, and threaten to kill potential recruits who side with Dai Yuhao after being shown their future 27 103 133.

Despite his power, Morax is self-conscious about his past behavior on Earth. Gu Yuena’s dramatic battle poses embarrass him because they remind him of his own chuunibyou phase in school, and he asks her to restrain herself around him 93 94.

Building an Anti-God-Realm Alliance

He recruits the Ice Empress and Snow Empress by showing them their predetermined futures, explains that the God Realm’s rules suppress Soul Beasts, and begins building cooperation between Soul Beasts, Sun Moon Empire figures, and other disaffected factions 27 28 52.

Reforming Cultivation
