Yet only deathly silence answered him. Hundreds of crew members on the deck kept their heads down and continued working, as though the machine overhead that could kill them at any moment were merely a passing fly.
"Looks like they can't hear me." A cold smile curled Fayan Luo's lips. He raised his custom heavy firearm, its rugged cylinder loaded with modified, large-caliber armor-piercing rounds. With a muffled bang, a round tore through the air and struck the fuel tank of a parked fighter with pinpoint accuracy.
Boom!
Flames instantly engulfed the fighter, and thick smoke billowed upward like ink. Alarms abruptly shrieked, piercing and harsh. Panic swept across the deck, shattering the orderly bustle in an instant. Then the main battery detected the threat. A rocket streaked skyward on a trail of flame, aimed straight at Fayan Luo.
Unhurried, Fayan Luo raised his hand and fired another large-caliber round. The two forces collided in midair, and the tremendous impact detonated the incoming rocket, turning it into a dazzling, deadly fireball.
But that was only the beginning. The main battery unleashed its full firepower, launching more than a dozen rockets in a dense fan that enveloped the tiny figure like a storm of needles.
Facing the overwhelming barrage, Fayan Luo stood motionless on the miniature plane's platform. A deep blue glow rose in his eyes as he fully activated Three-Dimensional Vision. Projectiles that flashed like lightning to ordinary eyes moved as slowly as fish swimming through water in his sight. He squeezed the trigger, pushing his rate of fire to its limit. At a terrifying twenty rounds per second, long tongues of flame spewed from the muzzle. Every bullet followed a precise trajectory, drawing red lines of death through the air.
Bang, bang, bang, bang!
Amid the unbroken gunfire,
