But the combat suit he wore had become an impregnable fortress. Bullets struck its armor with a dense series of dull thuds, then slid helplessly to the ground, accumulating in a thin layer. Fayan Luo remained expressionless as he turned his wrists, his guns spitting out a rhythm of death. In just a few dozen seconds, blood had stained the deck red. Three or four hundred soldiers who had tried to approach lay in pools of blood, their agonized cries rising one after another.
At the sight, the last shred of hope in the remaining soldiers' eyes collapsed. Since their firearms were useless, they hesitated no longer, pulling out explosives and hurling them at the figure who looked like a god of slaughter.

The gunshots remained crisp and sharp. His gaze icy, Fayan Luo fired precise shots at the explosives arcing through the air. A string of deafening explosions followed, their blasts sweeping outward and knocking the surrounding soldiers off their feet. Amid the smoke, despair and panic covered the survivors' faces. They staggered backward, afraid to take another step forward.
Amid this horrific slaughter, Fayan Luo's lips curled contemptuously. His voice rang across the deck through the loudspeaker. "Heavenly King, hiding behind hundreds of lives and playing dead-is that your idea of a king's dignity? If you don't show yourself, all that'll be left here is a pile of corpses."
At his words, the remaining soldiers lost their nerve entirely. Their hands trembled around their weapons as they retreated step by step, their eyes filled with the terror of men facing a monster.
Just as the tension reached its breaking point, the thick smoke ahead slowly dispersed. Eight unarmed figures emerged, walking with steady steps.
