Xun Uchiha watched the black speck grow smaller and smaller in the sky. There was no fear in his eyes, only an unnervingly calm look.
"I won't let him die," Xun Uchiha said quietly, as though stating an established fact. "Time, reverse."
In an instant, the world fell into an eerie standstill.
The surging waves froze into crystalline droplets, drifting dust hung suspended in the air, and the object shooting skyward seemed to be dragged back by an invisible hand. Everything around them began to distort and blur, finally dissolving into countless flowing ribbons of light that raced backward like an old videotape being rewound.
The aircraft carrier stopped shaking, and the exhaust flame went out. Everything returned to its starting point.
When his vision cleared again, Fayan Luo stood firmly on the deck, his brow slightly furrowed as he looked around in bewilderment, as though waking from a long dream. Little Bird stood in the same spot too, looking confused, completely unaware of the terrifying scene that had just unfolded.
