As Konoha prepared for war, the Third Hokage and Danzo plotted to weaken the Uchiha, Senju, and Uzumaki clans, while Xunjing’s group graduated and began missions under Tsunade. Xunjing and his companions escorted supplies toward the front with Hatake Sakumo, watched by Root squads as they waited for Danzo to act.

• The clan representatives pledged forces for the war, and the Third Hokage appointed Danzo to command a force heading toward the Land of Rain while Uchiha Chisato agreed to serve under Uchiha Zen.
• Uchiha Chisato revealed that Zen had learned Danzo altered his memories, and she and her allies planned to use his cover to destroy their enemies’ elites and target Danzo.
• Xunjing collected his newly forged sword, and Tsunade secured early graduation for her students before the Third Hokage approved their exams.
• Xunjing, Mikoto, Minato, Kushina, and Nawaki passed their graduation assessments, while Orochimaru learned that the Third Hokage planned to use the war to eliminate elite clan shinobi.
• Tsunade led Xunjing’s team on missions, and the group defeated bandits, rescued abducted women, and completed their assignments while concealing their strength from Root observers.
• After the Third Hokage pressured Xunjing for the Uchiha Antidote, Uchiha Chisato warned him about Madara and White Zetsu, while Xunjing’s group prepared for the possibility of being sent to the front.
• Hatake Sakumo led Xunjing and his companions with a medical-supply convoy toward the front, and Xunjing offered to exchange Uchiha swordsmanship teachings with him.
• After Rain, Rock, and Sand shinobi attacked the convoy, Xunjing detected two Root squads following them and told Minato, Mikoto, and Kushina to wait for Danzo’s move.

Xunjing turned Danzo and Hanzo’s planned ambush into their defeat, then exposed their conspiracy and helped Mito and Chisato seize control of Konoha. As the village’s old order fell, Madara prepared to target Xunjing, Mito, and Chisato, while Ōnoki learned of the defeat of Hanzo and Danzo.

• Xunjing and Tsunade prepared to turn Danzo and Hanzo’s ambush against them, and Xunjing’s barrier trapped their forces in Hanzo’s poisoned mist.
• Xunjing’s altered poison killed Danzo and his forces, then Xunjing and Tsunade defeated Hanzo and the Rain Shinobi.
• Xunjing recovered evidence from Root, including Kagami Uchiha’s Mangekyō Sharingan, and revealed Danzo and Hiruzen Sarutobi’s crimes to Mito and Chisato.
• Xunjing recruited Orochimaru into the planned Research Department and helped him sign a contract.
• Xunjing presented evidence of Danzo and Hiruzen’s conspiracy to the frontline jonin, who called for him to become Fourth Hokage, but he postponed the decision until after the war.

Xunjing defeated the Sand and Rock forces, secured Amegakure’s surrender, and helped revive Hashirama to confront Madara. After Madara’s defeat and sealing, Xunjing returned to the front as Tsunade urged him to prepare to become Hokage.

• Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage joined forces against Konoha, but Xunjing led Konoha to strike the Sand Ninja first and killed the Third Kazekage.
• Xunjing’s lightning attacks devastated the Rock Ninja, and mass teleportation forced Ōnoki to sign an agreement requiring Iwagakure to pay Konoha one billion.
• The Rain Shinobi confirmed Hanzo’s death and surrendered Amegakure, while Xunjing and Tsunade discovered Black-and-White Zetsu nearby.
• Xunjing destroyed Madara Uchiha’s Wood Clone, captured White Zetsu, and used Impure World Reincarnation to revive Hashirama Senju.
• Hashirama joined Xunjing, Uzumaki Mito, and Uchiha Chisato in confronting Madara, and they defeated him after his Rinnegan ran out of power.
• Xunjing trapped the remaining White Zetsu, told Hashirama he intended to become Hokage and pursue peace, and explained how Hiruzen and Danzo had harmed Konoha.

• Xunjing finalized Konoha’s five-year plan, placed safeguards on Madara, and explained how Black Zetsu had deceived him about the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
• Konoha reached a peace agreement with the Sand Ninja for one billion in reparations, while the Rock Ninja and other villages investigated Konoha’s upheaval and revived legends.
• Xunjing freed Uchiha Hikari from her ancient seal, then arranged to revive Tobirama Senju and Danzo before the Uchiha clan.
