Madara learned that Uchiha Xunjing could fully resurrect him only if he sincerely supported him, and that lingering in an Impure World Reincarnation body would eventually destroy his soul. Orochimaru then told Tobirama that Xunjing had developed a true Resurrection Technique and brought news that Hashirama was alive.

• Madara asked Hashirama if he could be resurrected, and Hashirama said Xunjing could do so only if Madara sincerely sided with him.
• Hashirama warned Madara that an Impure World Reincarnation body gradually wore down its occupant's soul until it collapsed.

Tobirama Senju learned that Xunjing could resurrect people at their peak and considered earning his approval to secure a full resurrection. Three days later, Dragon contacted Vegapunk and gave Xunjing the coordinates to Egghead Island, though Xunjing had not yet unlocked the New World map.

• Hashirama told Tobirama Senju that Xunjing had restored him to his peak and urged Tobirama to earn Xunjing's approval so they could negotiate Tobirama's full resurrection.
