He paused for a second, swept his gaze across the room, then said smugly, "The original two qualifying spots have been increased to three."

He paused again before adding, "In other words, only teams that finish in the top three of the finals group can participate in the high school league."

At those words, everyone from Ryonan's eyes lit up. Even Sendoh, who was always composed, showed the slightest flicker in his eyes.

What did one extra qualifying spot mean?

It meant they were no longer challengers desperately struggling at the edge of advancement. They now truly had the confidence to aim for a higher stage.

Tiangang Maoyi stood behind the crowd with his arms crossed. Two sharp golden flashes suddenly burst from his eyes, like a trapped beast that had finally spotted a flaw in its prey.

The opportunity had arrived.

The female lead of Kawanohe stared at the unfamiliar team on the schedule, her voice low.

"This is our opponent for the first game, Kawanohe High School." Yueye Hongming frowned as he tried to recall. "Huh?"

"Never heard of them. Is there a school like that in Kanagawa?"

Ikegami Ryoji shrugged, his tone relaxed.

"Who cares whether we've heard of them? At a glance, they're clearly some no-name school."

Xiangtian Yanyi scratched her head and smiled apologetically. "Haha, sorry. There were just too many schools participating this year. Sorting out the groups alone took two days, so I haven't had time to gather information on Kawanohe yet."
