As the Windrider gradually moved forward, Luo Wen and the others arrived before a massive passage formed from white clouds.
Beside the passage stood a golden gate, with a plaque above it bearing the words "Heaven's Gate."
"The Log Pose is still pointing upward. Are we supposed to pass through this passage?"
"But this passage goes straight up. The Windrider can't fly, can it?"
Nami looked at the Log Pose on her wrist, somewhat bewildered.
"This 'Heaven's Gate'... does passing through it mean we'll reach heaven?"
Robin's attention was drawn to the plaque, and she studied the words thoughtfully.
"Hey, you two, stop overthinking it. Why not just ask that person over there?"
Vivi and Tashigi looked speechless as they pointed beneath the gate.
Under one of the gate's pillars stood an old woman holding a camera, constantly taking pictures of Luo Wen and the others.
Her face was wrinkled like a shriveled plum, and pale purple clothing wrapped around her thin, short body. Most eye-catching of all was the tiny pair of white wings on her back.
Is this an angel? Why is she as absurd as that pegasus?
Nami's face twitched as she could not help grumbling inwardly.
Robin silently withdrew her earlier assessment that this was heaven. If heaven looked like this, she would rather go to hell.
"I am Amazon, gatekeeper of Heaven's Gate."
"May I ask whether you have come sightseeing or to wage war? Whatever the case, no one is refused entry here."
Amazon smiled darkly, though her tone was quite friendly.
"We only want to enter Sky Island and take a look around first."
Luo Wen stepped forward and spoke calmly.
"No matter what you intend to do, if you wish to go to the upper level, you must pay one billion Extol.
