Mu Chen's gaze suddenly turned cold.
The next instant, scarlet Conqueror's Haki erupted in a fan from before him, sweeping across the entire Fish-Man District.
"Fisher Tiger, is this how you treat a guest?"
And carried by his Conqueror's Haki, Mu Chen's icy words rang throughout the Fish-Man District.
The Fish-Men closest to the blast felt it first. More than half of them collapsed unconscious on the spot.
"That's Conqueror's Haki? It's so strong!"
The remaining Fish-Men stared in disbelief at their fallen companions, then at Mu Chen. Now that he had unleashed his Conqueror's Haki, they could no longer stay as composed as before.
Even Jinbe and Arlong felt a chill down their spines.
Shunping clenched his fists tightly. What?
That was Conqueror's Haki?
It really was Conqueror's Haki?
This marine!
Even Arlong no longer dared underestimate Mu Chen. He wasn't a fool. Someone with Conqueror's Haki was beyond their ability to handle. Weren't such people all rulers of the sea?
Just then, Fisher Tiger's voice came from deep within the district. "Arlong, let him in!"
At Fisher Tiger's words, Mu Chen decided not to trouble the Fish-Men any further. He withdrew his Conqueror's Haki. "Lead the way!"
Mu Chen had known all along that this was Fisher Tiger's attempt to put him in his place. But with Conqueror's Haki at his disposal, he had nothing to fear.
Shunping and Arlong still resented Mu Chen, but their boss, Fisher Tiger, had given the order. Neither said another word.
"Come with me," Shunping said.
Shunping led Mu Chen forward, and the Fish-Men moved aside.
A few minutes later, Mu Chen arrived before a rundown café.
The sight immediately reminded Mu Chen of someone: Shyarly, the owner of the Mermaid Cafe and Arlong's younger sister. That relationship wasn't the important part.
