Personality

Song Yuan is cold, proud, and intensely status-conscious. He initially dismisses Zhou Qi as an insignificant cultivator from a minor dynasty, believing Primordial Hall’s influence would make Zhou Qi easy to handle after the Ascension Small World trial. 175

He is also decisive and ruthless. After learning that Zhou Qi had caused Primordial Hall multiple losses, he immediately ordered Li Han to lead a team against the Great Yong Dynasty survivors and concluded that Zhou Qi had to be eliminated. 164 170 His confidence is shaken by Zhou Qi’s rapid growth, but that realization only hardens his resolve to kill him. 185

In combat, Song Yuan remains composed under sustained pressure and can defend against multiple Golden Core cultivators at once. However, once driven into a desperate situation, his rage and fixation on Zhou Qi lead him to rely on the dangerous Spirit-Burning Origin-Exploding Pill. 195 196

After Qin Hao, Wang Ding, Chen Xuan, Lu Chuan, and Lin Feng are lost in connection with Zhou Qi, Song Yuan recognizes Zhou Qi as an exceptional danger and orders Primordial Hall to target the Great Yong Dynasty group. 164 170

Fire Element Tower Ambush and Pursuit

Song Yuan and Li Han ambush Zhou Qi as he leaves the Fire Element Tower. Although Song Yuan holds a significant cultivation advantage, Zhou Qi injures Li Han and escapes using Dao-Slaying: Metal Aspect. 172

Song Yuan then pursues Zhou Qi toward the Wood Element Tower, fighting him repeatedly along the way. Zhou Qi manages to wound Song Yuan with an intensified Dao-Slaying strike and reaches the tower before Song Yuan can stop him. 173 174
