Entering Pandorum

In 1969, humanity landed on the moon. The world population was 3.6 billion.

In 2009, the Kepler Telescope was launched to search for Earth-like planets. The world population reached 6.76 billion.

In 2153, the Paliot 17 space probe landed on the Earth-like planet Tanis. The world population stood at 2.434 billion, and shortages of food and water had become widespread.

In 2174, war over Earth's limited resources was on the verge of breaking out. At the same time, a massive ship named Elysium carried 60,000 passengers toward Tanis, beginning a long journey of migration.

"You are humanity's last survivors. Good luck, and safe travels." In the command center of a massive spaceship drifting through pitch-black space, the control room's virtual reality projector played images of Earth's final destruction. The story began here.

"Pandorum is low-risk. It's just right as my new technological-plane colony." Tang Tian's arrogant voice brought a faint trace of life to the dark, ruined spaceship.

Before leaving the Planet of the Apes plane, Tang Tian had continuously strengthened his physical condition in preparation for injecting multiple viruses in the future. His mental power was also extremely strong. If he came into contact with Chronicle's crystal or injected the T-virus now, developing telekinesis would be very easy. If the enhancement succeeded, telekinesis plus gravity would not be as simple as one plus one. Moreover, Tang Tian possessed the Magneto bloodline he had once enhanced through the Main God, making him exceptionally powerful.

Tang Tian had not prepared much for this trip to Pandorum. It was not that he had failed to consider it; there was simply no need. He wore only a black combat uniform and carried a modified rail electromagnetic shotgun. Vast amounts of supplies were stored in his personal space: all kinds of weapons of mass destruction, such as multi-barreled electromagnetic Vulcan cannons, multifunctional powered armor, laser missiles, Rubik's Cube energy weapons, the T-virus, second-generation Tyrants, 1,000-ton tactical nuclear weapons, one-megaton strategic nuclear weapons, medium-sized space warships, and more. It was not strange for him to possess these things, as they had all been developed over fifty years. After obtaining a colony and realizing that time flowed differently there, Tang Tian understood its immense value. He had therefore brought many Umbrella physicists into that world to accelerate research into weapons of mass destruction. As expected, they had succeeded fifty years later.

"Beep, beep, beep..." A sharp alarm sounded, and Private Bower, who had been in deep sleep inside a cryogenic pod, awakened. He was also a mechanical engineer aboard the ship.

"Oh, it's starting so soon. Looks like I arrived at just the right time." Tang Tian calmed himself and strolled forward unhurriedly, showing no tension whatsoever. Of course, now that he possessed such power, he had no reason to fear those primitive creatures mutated by nuclear reactor radiation.

The movie protagonist Bower's cryogenic pod was near the ship's control center, and Tang Tian very much needed this spaceship's data. Speaking of which, the timing of this spaceship's launch had been quite coincidental. The Earth government may have realized humanity was about to be destroyed, so in 2174, it sent away all the technological knowledge, living supplies, and 60,000 people it had produced that year. Sure enough, the final world war broke out soon after the migration, and Earth was destroyed. In humanity's final moments, they finally came to their senses. After blessing the surviving humans aboard the spaceship, Earth was completely annihilated in a massive explosion.

As Bower awakened, his cryogenic pod automatically opened, and a person fell out from inside. Or rather, not a particularly clean person. That was understandable, of course. The spaceship had gone unmanaged for 923 years. It was fortunate that they had been sleeping deeply in cryogenic pods; otherwise, whether even the thousand or so survivors seen at the end of the movie would have remained after 923 years was uncertain. From the movie alone, one could see the Earth government's overall strength in this plane. All right, back to the point.

Bower stood blankly before the cryogenic pod. Feeling pain in his arm, he pulled out the nutrient tube, then peeled the dead skin from his arm and body like a snake shedding its skin, revealing smooth skin as soft as a baby's.

"Hello, Private Bower. You're finally awake." Tang Tian had already reached his destination. This time, he still intended to make contact with the protagonist.

The light outside the cryogenic pod flickered. After Bower adapted to his body, he followed a strange sound and looked at the young man before him, dressed in an old-fashioned combat uniform and carrying a glowing shotgun. His eyes were filled with confusion.

"You..." Bower had just been about to speak when all the corridor lights ran out of power, plunging the surroundings into darkness. As soon as the lights vanished, Tang Tian switched on the powerful flashlight mounted on his shotgun. Bower also found a glow stick for illumination.

-------------Divider-------------------------- "You know me?" Bower looked at the mysterious young man before him and asked in confusion. Calling him mysterious was accurate. Bower had only lost some memories, not all of them, so he was naturally shocked to see Tang Tian dressed like a merchant.

"Of course. I know many things. Because of your deep sleep, you're suffering from mild amnesia." Tang Tian took a Cuban cigar from his combat uniform pocket, then slowly walked over to the cryogenic pod door marked Captain Peyton. In truth, Peyton was the movie's villain, the mentally unstable pilot.

When Bower saw Captain Peyton's cryogenic pod door, he began shouting excitedly. When that failed, he violently struck the pod door with an iron bar. Tang Tian shook his head helplessly and continued smoking his Cuban cigar. In the movie, both men now suffered from mild amnesia and had no recollection whatsoever of what had happened aboard the ship. Naturally, Tang Tian was not some insignificant extra. He had approached them only so they could activate the spaceship's control center, allowing him to enter and download its advanced technological data. After that, he would seize the spaceship and turn it into a colony.

"Who are you?" Captain "Peyton" asked in confusion after waking up.

"Private Bower, sir," Bower explained as he looked at Captain "Peyton."

"And him?" After Captain "Peyton" regained control of his body, he looked at Tang Tian nearby, who seemed both like a merchant and a soldier.

"Donners, an arms dealer," Tang Tian said casually, completely ignoring their strange stares. To be honest, the two of them were merely ants. As an arms dealer, Tang Tian had a truly cold heart. He would not care what ants thought; he cared only about his own interests.

"Then where are we?" "We're aboard the Elysium spaceship." "Elysium?" ...After seeing Tang Tian's indifference, the two decisively stopped asking him questions. Both could intermittently sense the icy aura around him, an aura belonging to true death.

Then, led by the fake Captain Peyton, Tang Tian left the cryogenic sleep chamber and headed for the cockpit ahead. That was the spaceship's control center, as well as the destination where Tang Tian intended to plunder advanced technological data. Everything was about to begin.
