"No, not if."
Li Qingshan shook his head and said with certainty:
"Since the panel has given me a progress bar, I'll definitely be able to grind it to completion. The Stars Are Calling absolutely has a Fifth Realm!"
He trusted the panel completely.
However...
Li Qingshan lowered his gaze to the Martial Arts Space section, where a line of cold numbers calmed him down.
[Available Time: 150 days]
A progress bar requiring 3,000 proficiency points and only 150 days of time was nothing more than a drop in the bucket.
"If I want to increase the Martial Arts Space's available time, I can only kill monsters. But there aren't any Feral Beasts left to kill in the Old Continent!"
Li Qingshan shook his head helplessly and withdrew his gaze.
Whoosh!
Cao Shaoyu finished his final movement, collapsed onto the floor, and panted heavily.
"Coach, you're awake?"
"What?"
Li Qingshan lifted his eyelids slightly and looked at the chubby boy.
"You haven't practiced enough today?"
"No, no!"
Cao Shaoyu waved his hands with a fawning grin and shuffled over to Li Qingshan's side.
His mouth opened and closed several times, as though he wanted to speak but could not bring himself to do so.
"Spit it out!" Li Qingshan said impatiently.
"Coach, I won't be coming to class tomorrow."
"Got it. It's the weekend tomorrow. Spend some quality time with your parents."
Li Qingshan waved his hand indifferently.
Cao Shaoyu had taken leave several times before. His parents lived in the provincial capital and only had time to return to Fallen Blossom City to see him on weekends.
"Coach, this isn't me asking for leave." The chubby boy explained, his voice gradually dropping.
"My parents said that since I have talent, I can't afford to waste it. They're taking me to the provincial capital and hiring a martial arts teacher from Wuyi City to teach me."
"Hm?" Li Qingshan's eyes narrowed. He turned to Cao Shaoyu and asked seriously:
"Do you want a refund for the remaining class fees?"
Because of his previous leave, Cao Shaoyu still had six days of classes left.
"No, that's not what I mean!"
Cao Shaoyu's face reddened, and his voice grew even quieter.
"Coach, I'm leaving tomorrow, and you're not going to..."
"I'm just teasing you." Li Qingshan shook his head with a smile and rubbed Cao Shaoyu's head.
"Wuyi is the provincial capital. Your parents being able to hire a martial arts teacher from there is a tremendous opportunity."
"You're a man. Don't be so hesitant and awkward. Once we make it to the New Continent, we'll meet again!"
Cao Shaoyu already had talent. With a better teacher guiding him, he might reach the Third Realm of The Stars Are Calling and head to the New Continent in less than a year.
Spurred on by those words, the chubby boy puffed out his chest and shouted:
"Yeah! A man keeps his word! Coach, I'll work hard and do my best to get to the New Continent."
Li Qingshan smiled, lightly patted the back of the chubby boy's head, picked up his machete, and turned to leave the classroom.
But just as he turned around, a hand grabbed the hem of his shirt.
Li Qingshan looked back and saw that the chubby boy, who had just been brimming with heroic spirit, was now wearing a fawning smile.
"Coach, I'm leaving tomorrow. Can you take me out to broaden my horizons?"
"Hm?"
Li Qingshan's expression changed as he looked the newly thirteen-year-old chubby boy up and down. A dangerous smile appeared on his face.
"What do you want to see?"
"Coach, do you know Silver Radiance Hotel?" Cao Shaoyu rubbed his hands together and said quietly:
"I heard it's really exciting inside!"
"Oh? Tell me, what's so exciting about it?" Li Qingshan's smile became even more dangerous.
He had heard of Silver Radiance Hotel, but only knew that it was a luxury hotel.
He had not expected the chubby boy to be so well-informed—or that he wanted to go there to "broaden his horizons."
Li Qingshan rubbed the handle of his machete with his right hand, feeling that it was necessary to give the chubby boy one final lesson in proper values.
Cao Shaoyu noticed nothing. His hands had turned red from rubbing them together as he said excitedly:
"I heard there are regular fighting matches on the hotel's third basement level. There's one today, Coach..."
"Not interested!"
Li Qingshan's smile froze, and he turned to leave.
Underground boxing matches? What was there to see?
"Huh?" Cao Shaoyu's excitement froze on his face. He lowered his head dejectedly and said:
"I wanted to see what the Feral Beasts in the textbooks look like."
Whoosh!
A fierce gust struck him in the face.
Cao Shaoyu looked up blankly and saw that the coach, who had already stepped outside, was now standing before him as though he had teleported.
"Get to the point next time!" Li Qingshan said sternly.
Cao Shaoyu was completely bewildered.
"What point?"
"Feral Beasts!" Li Qingshan reminded him and asked:
"You can see Feral Beasts at Silver Radiance Hotel?"
"Yes, yes, yes!" Cao Shaoyu came to his senses and nodded repeatedly.
"I heard through the grapevine that Silver Radiance Hotel got hold of a Feral Beast tonight and is planning to arrange a Beast Battle."
"A Beast Battle?"
Li Qingshan pondered for several seconds, then met the chubby boy's shining eyes and nodded.
"Fine. I'll take you."
According to Wan Keshan, every Feral Beast that entered the Old Continent had a specific purpose and had to undergo strict review.
An underground boxing match's "Beast Battle" was clearly not an official purpose, nor should Silver Radiance Hotel have that kind of influence.
Otherwise, Wan Keshan could not possibly have failed to tell him when Li Qingshan asked a month ago.
Li Qingshan did not know where Cao Shaoyu had heard this rumor, nor could he be certain it was true.
But that did not stop him from going to "broaden his horizons." At worst, it would waste a little time. And if there really was a Feral Beast...
At that thought, the corners of Li Qingshan's mouth curled upward unconsciously.
"Coach, your smile is terrifying." Cao Shaoyu shrank his neck.
"Quit talking and get us a cab!"
Li Qingshan grabbed the chubby boy by the back of his collar and headed downstairs at a brisk pace.
Silver Radiance Hotel was located in the southwest of Fallen Blossom City, more than ten kilometers from downtown. With the surrounding area still under development and full of unfinished construction sites, it looked somewhat desolate at night.
Only the hotel building shone brilliantly, standing tall in the darkness.
A taxi slowly pulled up in front of the hotel lobby.
With a smile on his face, the doorman hurried forward and opened the car door.
Cao Shaoyu jumped out impatiently and said excitedly:
"We're here to watch the fighting match. Where's the venue?"
The doorman's face stiffened for a moment before his professional smile returned.
"Little friend, we are a legitimate hotel. We don't have the fighting match you're looking for."
"How could there not be one?" Cao Shaoyu immediately grew anxious, spittle flying from his mouth.
"I checked everything out. It's on your hotel's third basement level."
"Little friend, you may have gotten the wrong place." The doorman kept smiling.
"Our hotel's underground parking garage only has two levels. There is no third level."
"Impossible! You're lying to me!"
Cao Shaoyu stamped his feet anxiously, but the doorman seemed to have his smile carved onto his face and would not budge.
Clang!
The half-drawn machete extended from the taxi door with the ring of metal.
Li Qingshan stepped out of the cab unhurriedly and turned to look at the doorman, whose smile had stiffened.
"Lead the way!"
"Yes, sir!"
The doorman bowed slightly without another word, then quickly turned around and led the way.
"Wait, why does he get to do that?"
Cao Shaoyu was instantly dumbfounded. His face reddened at a visible pace as he said angrily:
"He looks down on people! Why did he ignore me just now?"
"Enough, hurry up and follow us! If any middle school student could just walk in, this hotel would have been shut down long ago."
Li Qingshan lightly patted the back of the chubby boy's head and strode forward.
