Hearing this, Lu Ren pulled the control lever down without hesitation.

"Super Commander confirmed. Authorization granted. Accelerator activated."

The distinct hum of electricity reached Lu Ren's ears. The screen on the console lit up, revealing that the High-Energy Particle Collider stretching a hundred kilometers below had begun to activate, with all monitored data steadily rising.

"Is there anything else I need to do?"

Qingxu replied, "I can take over from here."

Walking to the floor-to-ceiling window, Lu Ren watched as the metal passage below continuously glimmered with blue light. It went from faint to brilliant, until it filled his entire vision and made him squint.

Meanwhile, the other end of the interspatial passage seemed to sense the instability in space. The entire passage began to shake violently, then rapidly expanded at a rate visible to the naked eye.

"Please be careful. A powerful Magnetic Field is forming below. Spacetime curvature has begun to fluctuate and is spiraling upward."

Lu Ren's expression turned grave. He could sense a palpitating aura coming from the spatial passage. It was his survival instinct warning him, desperately urging him to leave this place whenever he encountered an existence so overwhelmingly powerful that he could not resist it.

After two minutes of startup time, the High-Energy Particle Collider was running again. At full power, it suddenly erupted with a dazzling azure light, forcing Lu Ren to shut his eyes and stagger back several steps.

Only after a full ten seconds did the blinding light gradually fade. Qingxu's voice immediately sounded in Lu Ren's ears.

"Hua Particle collision successful. The interspatial passage is collapsing. Commander Lu Ren, I suggest you exit the control room."

Lu Ren gave a slight nod and retreated into the corridor behind him. Then an earth-shattering explosion suddenly erupted from the control room, and a powerful blast wave rushed through the gap in the alloy doors, which had not yet fully closed.

Upon a tall, ancient stone platform lay a cracked hardwood board. It was covered in old fluids of bright red, milky white, and even dark green.

They seemed to be the bloodstains of some unknown existence offered as a sacrifice.

Beneath the stone platform loomed an indescribable creature. It occupied that corner, a massive heap of flesh. Tentacles coated in disgusting slime wriggled incessantly. Countless eyes on its enormous head radiated bestial murkiness as they stared emotionlessly through the Space Barrier, seemingly trying their utmost to observe the world where Lu Ren stood.

Fat piled beneath it. The filthy fur covering its body was thick and dense, tangled with countless foul substances. One could imagine the insects feeding on its unclean blood gathering, feeding, and mating within that fur... The monster let out a shrill, resentful screech that seemed to pass through the Space Barrier and into Lu Ren's ears, filling his heart with an inexplicable chill and gloom.

One pair of cold, shadowy eyes suddenly turned toward Lu Ren. Its gaze seemed to pierce through the crystal wall and fix upon him.

Lu Ren felt as if his brain had exploded. His face turned deathly pale as he staggered backward.

"Ding. You have been gazed upon by the Outer God Edora Doyagara. You have been infiltrated by Original Sin and the End of All Things' Destruction. Your mind is being twisted as a result. Spirit Proficiency passively +1."

"Ding. You have been remembered by Edora Doyagara. You have been marked. Do you wish to block it?"

"Ding. You have been..."

"Block it! Block it for me!!"

"Ding. Blocking failed... Data derivation in progress. Confirmed. Blocking again... Blocking successful."

A string of repeated system notifications rang in Lu Ren's mind. Only after he endured the searing pain and retreated into the corridor, leaving the gaze of that so-called Outer God Edora Doyagara, did he gradually catch his breath.

It was like an existence from another dimension had suddenly taken a slight interest in a lower life-form. Yet when it cast its gaze over, it had not expected that the tiny creature could not even bear the weight of its attention.

When Lu Ren woke up, the first thing he saw was a pure white ceiling, while the heavy scent of disinfectant filled his nose.

He was in a hospital.

Lu Ren propped himself up and sat, looking at the woman seated in front of him.

Her hair was tied in a ponytail, and she wore a neat, capable outfit. There was no makeup on her face, yet it did nothing to diminish her beauty.

What caught Lu Ren's attention even more was her Essence, Qi, and Spirit, the sharpness in her eyes, and the faint air of swift, thunderous decisiveness in every movement she made.

She was a martial artist! And not a weak one.

"My name is Zhang Li. I'm from the Public Security Bureau within Hua Country, and I'm responsible for your Spiritual Concealment Incident."

As she spoke, Zhang Li produced an identification card, then looked Lu Ren over with clear surprise.

"I thought you'd remain unconscious for a few more hours before waking up."
