Outside the sword formation, Queen Mother of the West was not surprised by this. Lu Ren was no Heavenly Venerable, merely a minor Heavenly Immortal. Even if he truly were a Heavenly Venerable, once he entered the Execution Sword Formation, he would become a lamb awaiting slaughter, fish on the chopping block sooner or later.

Lu Ren showed no anger at all. The system prompt in his mind asking whether to initiate the transmission gave him ample confidence.

His gaze shifted toward Tongtian, who had abruptly charged in. Curious, he asked, "I am rather curious as to why you, Heavenly Venerable, would intervene to aid Queen Mother of the West."

A smile appeared on Tongtian's face. Rather than directly answer Lu Ren's question, he said, "You are a clever man. You should know that there is no help in this world without cause."

"Fine, I understand. You have already made it obvious enough."

Lu Ren could not be bothered to dig any deeper into the story between Queen Mother of the West and Tongtian. After all, once he left the Journey to the West World, he would have another chance to return only if the clay statue bearing the Earth Dao Principles had already established a complete Main God Space framework and successfully activated the dimensional anchor. Otherwise, returning would likely only be possible by following Lu Ren's path.

One would have to temper the physical body until it could withstand chaos and travel freely through it. Given enough time, one could attain the speed needed to catch up to the ever-drifting universe.

Spend a hundred thousand years or so, and perhaps one could return.
