Wang Dong'er was Huo Yuhao's longtime companion from the period when she lived as Wang Dong. By the time Wang Qiu'er arrives at Shrek, Dong'er and Huo Yuhao already share years of cultivation, combat, and dormitory life. Qiu'er's identical appearance immediately unsettles Dong'er, who openly protects Huo Yuhao and declares that he is not someone Qiu'er may touch at will. 1 41

After Huo Yuhao and Qiu'er cross a romantic boundary following Qiu'er's rescue of him, Dong'er realizes the betrayal and returns alone to the Clear Sky Sect despite her injuries.
