Learning Soul Guidance Devices

Wang Dong, seated beside him, noticed that something was off with Huo Yuhao and looked at him curiously. "Yuhao, what's wrong? You look so nervous."

"No, it's nothing. You imagined it!" Huo Yuhao hurriedly waved his hand and forced his expression back to normal, lest anyone notice anything.

For the rest of the lesson, Mu Jin explained the fundamentals of martial souls and how to analyze and understand them properly. Huo Yuhao gained quite a lot from this class, such as the enhancement directions for beast martial souls, the cultivation paths for tool martial souls, and even the possible paths auxiliary Soul Masters could take in the future.

"Alright, that's all for today's lesson. Tomorrow, we'll discuss elemental martial souls. Class dismissed. Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and Zhu Lu, could you three come over for a moment?"

Mu Jin waved for the three of them to come over. Once they stood before her, she nodded and spoke to Huo Yuhao first. "Yuhao, I've submitted your application to study soul guidance devices. In a little while, I'll take you to the soul guidance laboratory, where a teacher will guide your studies."

"Thank you, Teacher Mu Jin!" Huo Yuhao nodded and clasped his hands in thanks. Mu Jin waved it off. As a teacher, it was her duty to help her students find paths suited to their development.

"Teacher, I want to study with the soul guidance department too." Wang Dong raised his hand and looked at Mu Jin excitedly. Zhu Lu beside him was interested as well. Since Yuhao wanted to go, she wanted to take a look too.

"Huh? You both want to go too?" Mu Jin was a little confused, but she still nodded in agreement. She would bring them along later. Then, she got down to business.

"Wang Dong, Zhu Lu, the strongest battle Soul Masters in Class Four right now are the two of you. Who do you think should be the class monitor?" Mu Jin spoke slowly, revealing why she had called them over today.

"Class monitor?" The two were rather confused and did not understand why they had been chosen. Mu Jin saw their puzzlement and explained that this was the world of Soul Masters. Even at the academy, the strong ruled over the weak, and someone powerful would have an easier time managing the class.

"We understand, Teacher Mu Jin. In that case, choose her!" they said in unison.

Their simultaneous answer left everyone present rather stunned.

Wang Dong's reason was simple: he was not suited to managing people. Zhu Lu, meanwhile, politely declined on the grounds that she had only recently joined the class and did not understand the students' circumstances.

"You two are putting on a show of courtesy and humility at a time like this?" Mu Jin looked at them with a headache. After thinking it over carefully, she decided to appoint Zhu Lu. After all, Zhu Lu came from the White Tiger Duke's Estate and should have some experience with management.

Upon hearing Teacher Mu Jin's appointment, Zhu Lu agreed despite her reluctance. Huo Yuhao nodded at her from the side. It seemed this blockhead did have some judgment after all!

Mu Jin then led the three of them to a spacious metal building. She had them wait before walking to the laboratory entrance and pressing the doorbell.

"Coming!"

A deep male voice came through the communicator, and Mu Jin stepped back to stand before Huo Yuhao and the other two.

The next second, the metal doors before them slowly opened with a rumble. A stern-looking man in black robes, with short white hair, walked out from inside.

"Hm? Mu Jin? Has the student who wants to study soul guidance devices arrived?"

Seeing the man before her, Mu Jin's breathing became a little hurried. However, remembering that her students were present, she gave a light cough and introduced the three behind her. "This is Fan Yu, the only Rank Eight Soul Engineer in Shrek Academy's soul guidance department apart from the two deans!"

After hearing Mu Jin's introduction, Fan Yu looked toward the three behind her and asked in confusion, "Hm? Mu Jin, didn't you say there was only one? Why are there three?"

Mu Jin explained the situation, and Fan Yu understood. Still, he did not mind. It was good that they were interested in soul guidance devices. That gave him an even better chance of bringing all three into the soul guidance department!

Even Liu Che in the Human Emperor Space became somewhat interested. These products of soul guidance technology further broadened Liu Che's thinking.

After passing through the displays of various soul guidance devices, Fan Yu led the four to the soul guidance testing ground. A tall, bald figure stood there, conducting aiming tests with a soul guidance cannon mounted on his right hand.

"Caitou!"

Fan Yu called out, and the tall senior hurried over. The moment he arrived, he noticed Huo Yuhao and the others, but he did not pay them much attention and instead looked at his teacher.

"Teacher, were you looking for me?" He Caitou rubbed his gleaming bald head and looked at him in confusion.

"These three are junior students interested in soul guidance devices. Give them a proper demonstration of some of the soul guidance devices we have here." Fan Yu spoke as he took out three different soul guidance devices from his storage soul guidance device.

"Alright, no problem! Junior brothers and sisters, watch closely. First, this is the first type of soul guidance device: offensive soul guidance devices, which are divided into melee and long-range types."

He Caitou picked up the melee soul guidance device Fan Yu had taken out. It was a large metal blade, a Class Two soul guidance device. He also displayed the small cannon barrel on his arm, a Class One soul guidance cannon.

He Caitou raised the large blade and slashed fiercely at a massive pile of metal wreckage, instantly leaving behind a clear blade mark.

If it had been a higher-grade soul guidance device, it probably could have split it cleanly in two.

Then, He Caitou suddenly raised the soul guidance cannon on his right arm and fired an energy blast at a nearby moving target.

Boom!

With a deafening explosion, the moving target was instantly smashed to pieces. The three youngsters stared in shock. The appearance of soul guidance devices truly changed the entire Soul Master system!

Next came defensive soul guidance devices and the uses of certain auxiliary soul guidance devices. Though their visual impact was not particularly impressive, the value they demonstrated made Huo Yuhao and the others' hearts tremble.

"Teacher Fan Yu, I want to study soul guidance devices. Please teach us!" Huo Yuhao stepped forward, slightly bowed, and clasped his hands to show his resolve. Though Fan Yu did not understand Huo Yuhao's gesture, he could feel his sincerity and nodded in agreement.

"Good child. What about you two? Are you willing to study soul guidance devices?" Fan Yu looked at Wang Dong and Zhu Lu with equal excitement.

Seeing that Huo Yuhao had already decided to study them, the two did not hesitate and both nodded, saying that they wanted to learn soul guidance devices here as well.
