After several years beneath the shroud of night, the city still glittered with neon lights, seemingly little affected, as prosperous and peaceful as ever.
Residents moved through the long streets in orderly streams, each busy making a living. At this hour, no one could tell day from night; the city had become one that never slept.
Only when someone glanced at the many clocks newly added along the streets did they realize it was not yet midnight.
Gradually, the figures on the long streets dwindled. The people had all entered their dreams, seemingly accustomed to this life without day or night, still maintaining regular routines.
Just as they were about to arrive.
The central high-rise was still brightly lit. The higher-ups of every department sat together in a small meeting room, carrying themselves much as they had when the Direct Disciple Lords were still present. A meeting was still underway.
