By the time Yi Feng woke up, Manman had long since sprawled on the ground. Before him loomed a majestic city.

Its pitch-black walls, made from some unknown material, rose a hundred zhang into the sky. Even from afar, they radiated an overwhelming sense of oppression.

The walls stretching out from either side of the city gate vanished beyond sight, extending for thousands of li like a crouching lion.

"Is this the place?"

Yi Feng raised his head and gazed at the city before him, murmuring softly. He still trusted Manman's automatic navigation.

Yet what puzzled him was that despite the city's immense size, there was not a single person to be seen nearby.

Even its heavy gates were tightly shut. The place was steeped in deathly silence, like a city of the dead.

Since the gates were closed, Yi Feng did not continue toward the city.

Instead, he decided to look around outside first.

The land beyond the city was barren, but on closer inspection, traces of habitation could still be seen.
