In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, drawing on the hard-earned experience of last semester and the recent holiday, he quietly took a seat in the very back.

Though it was unlikely that Gilderoy Lockhart would be reeking of bullshit this time, it was entirely possible that he would call Kane up to perform in a stage play like he had at Flourish and Blotts.

Before long, Professor Lockhart pushed open the door. He stood at the podium and silently stared at the young wizards below. They said silence was powerful; perhaps he saw himself as some evil villain who liked painting but got terrible grades.

Kane slowly took out one of Lockhart's novels. Overall, they were suitable for all ages and just right for passing the time.

Suddenly, Lockhart began to speak from the podium.

"Today is our first lesson together, so I think it's necessary for us to get to know each other. Young wizards, please fill out this questionnaire. Ah, that's all for our first class today. The sooner you finish, the sooner class ends. Isn't that nice?"

As he spoke, Lockhart picked up a stack of questionnaires from the podium. Rather than using magic, he personally handed them out to each young wizard.

Kane soon received his questionnaire and glanced over it. What color did Gilderoy Lockhart like best... Oh, sorry, that had been crossed out. The first question had been replaced with: What Defense Against the Dark Arts spell did you most want to learn?

The second question asked what Defense Against the Dark Arts spells they had learned in their first year.

The third asked whether there was anything they were not proficient enough in when it came to Defense Against the Dark Arts.
