Thoughts on Going Premium and Update Schedule

All right, everyone, this little nobody had successfully gone premium too. This book launched on October 1st. After publishing it, I took a look at Douyin, and the first video I saw had a bunch of penguins falling from the sky with their butts on fire. The caption said: "Qidian powerhouses run rampant in October—foreign heavenly demons, veteran platinum authors, monstrous newcomers, blah blah blah."

As a little nobody, of course I was scared. But luckily, I had all of you supporting me, and I managed to achieve a tiny bit of success. I kneel here in thanks.

Let's talk about updates. To be honest, I write rather slowly. If you wanted me to write fast, I could definitely do it. Once, I accidentally posted an extra chapter, so in a fit of extreme rage, I wrote twenty thousand words in five hours. I nearly burned myself out, but the quality naturally went straight down the drain.

At the time, I was thinking of handcrafting a million words in a single day. Admirable courage.

Honestly, I have a bit of baggage when writing now. If I'm not satisfied with the plot, I rewrite it. If I feel a chapter has nothing noteworthy and doesn't advance the story, I'd rather slap myself in the face and get stuck than publish that kind of filler chapter. That's why I write relatively slowly. I often get stuck for one or two hours just figuring out how and where to end a chapter.

So, asking me for explosive updates is definitely beyond my ability. But! Ten thousand words a day is still doable.
