"Brain tissue?" Lockhart swallowed, asking in disbelief.

Kane nodded.

"Is that some strange code name? Like calling some kind of stone 'brain tissue'?"

Kane shook his head.

"Hiss... Can animal brains substitute for it?"

"Probably not. I think humans are more spiritually receptive."

The moment Kane finished speaking, Lockhart abruptly raised his wand. Although less than one-tenth of the offensive spells he once remembered remained, what was that saying again? His Memory Charm had never failed him.

Yet before the next second had even passed, a slender shadowy claw gently seized his wand and violently yanked it away.

"Stop being so rude all the time. What if you really cramped up and misfired? I never said I was using your brain."

As Kane spoke, he stuffed both the jellyfish in his arms and Lockhart's wand into Little Pumpkin's belly.

"Now that we have the jellyfish, let's go. It's time to find some brain tissue."

As he spoke, he climbed back onto the broomstick and patted the seat behind him at Lockhart.

"Oh, uh, I'm sorry about that just now. Um, Kane, could you give me my wand back?" Lockhart asked gloomily as he awkwardly climbed back onto the broomstick.

"Unfortunately, no." Kane glanced behind him, saw that Little Pumpkin was perfectly wedged onto the broomstick, then suddenly accelerated. With a bang, Kane shot into the sky with Lockhart.

The poor little raft shattered into pieces and sank to the bottom of the sea.

An unknown little town in England received two uninvited guests.

"Two rooms with large beds, or one double room."

Like a seasoned professional, Lockhart found the most respectable hotel in the town at his own expense. Leaning against the counter and chatting up the girl behind it, he smoothly obtained the room keys amid laughter and banter.
