"Why are you getting worked up when we were having such a good chat?" Moke frowned, wearing the expression of someone looking at an unruly child.
However, those words were like fuel on the fire, making the already furious Kaido even angrier.
Kaido widened his eyes and glared fixedly at the presumptuous bastard before him.
This guy actually dared to set his sights on my precious daughter? He must be tired of living!
At that thought, his grip on the spiked club tightened as he prepared to teach the other man a lesson.
Just then, Moke suddenly swung his blade. A supremely sharp sword slash howled forth, cutting straight toward Kaido's spiked club.
Kaido snorted coldly and reacted with incredible speed, holding his spiked club horizontally. The slash struck it fiercely, throwing up a shower of sparks, yet the club remained completely unscathed.
Seizing the chance, Kaido smashed his club toward Moke, the force of the blow making the surrounding air hum.
Moke flashed aside, nimbly evading the strike. At the same time, he swung his blade again, sending several sword slashes shooting toward Kaido like meteors.
Kaido remained unhurried, batting aside the incoming slashes left and right with his spiked club.
Just as the two were locked in an inseparable battle, Kaido's daughter suddenly rushed out and stood in front of Moke, shouting anxiously, "Father, stop fighting! He's the man I like!"
Kaido's movements stopped abruptly. He stared wide-eyed at his daughter as the spiked club in his hand slowly lowered.
He looked at Moke. Though his gaze still held some displeasure, it also carried a trace of contemplation, as though he were reassessing the man bold enough to pursue his daughter.
After a moment of silence, Kaido suddenly threw back his head and laughed. "Hahahaha! Not bad, brat.
