"Consciousness separation procedure?" Augustus's face grew even paler. "That's the most dangerous operation in conceptual medicine. Cutting consciousness apart on a transdimensional level..."
"How dangerous?" Astria asked.
"If the procedure fails, the entire Transdimensional Entity will undergo an explosive collapse," Augustus explained. "The conceptual energy released would be enough to destroy the entire Multiverse."
"But if we don't try, the Multiverse will still be destroyed by the reboot plan," Leo pointed out. "We have no other choice left."
The hope remnant continued transmitting information: "The procedure requires... extremely high precision... the Four-Person Network's distributed processing... may be the only... system capable of handling it..."
Lin Ye felt a deep resonance between his Sagittarius mark and the hope remnant. Within that resonance, he could sense the Negative-One Universe Civilization's original goodwill and desire to save others.
"It's telling the truth," Lin Ye confirmed through the network. "The hope remnant really does retain the original civilization's kind nature."
But Astria's Libra instincts sensed an enormous risk. "What's the procedure's success rate?"
Augustus fell silent for a long time. "According to theoretical calculations, no more than thirty percent. And even if we succeed, we'll still have to carry out the operation under an all-out assault from the despair consciousness."
"In other words, there's a seventy percent chance we'll fail and immediately destroy the Multiverse," Astria concluded.
"But if we don't try, there's a hundred percent chance the reboot plan will destroy us in six time units," Scobio pointed out.
Leo faced the hardest decision of his leadership career. Both choices could lead to the Multiverse's destruction, but at least one offered a sliver of hope.
"I need everyone's opinion." Through the network, Leo sent a question to every member of the Alliance. "Should we attempt the consciousness separation procedure?"
