Eastern King Duke had advanced to the Quasi-Sage level, joining the ranks of the Primordial Wilderness's top experts. He had also refined the Dragonhead Cane Hongjun had bestowed on him. Though he had yet to refine it completely, he could at least wield it with ease.

After refining the Dragonhead Cane, Eastern King Duke's confidence grew by leaps and bounds. Not only had his cultivation reached the Quasi-Sage level, but refining the cane had shown him just how powerful it was.

The Dragonhead Cane was the treasure Dao Ancestor Hongjun had used to attain the Dao, and its power was unmatched. Though it was an innate Spirit Treasure, its offensive might rivaled that of an innate Supreme Treasure. More importantly, it contained a portion of Hongjun's insights—enough to benefit Eastern King Duke for the rest of his life.

With such a Supreme Treasure in hand, how could Eastern King Duke not feel as though the spring breeze were at his back?

After emerging from seclusion, Eastern King Duke considered his cultivation and his "status." He decided he had to do something. He could not "let down" Dao Ancestor Hongjun's expectations; he had to make some sort of move.

Who knew what Eastern King Duke was thinking? Did he truly believe this was what Hongjun wanted? Hongjun did not want the Primordial Wilderness thrown into further chaos. It was already chaotic enough, yet Eastern King Duke wanted to wade in too. Did he think there was not enough disorder? What was he trying to do if not make trouble for Hongjun?

Of course, Eastern King Duke plainly gave none of that a thought. He was too busy dreaming of becoming "Heavenly Emperor" to concern himself with anything else. He had long since forgotten everything Hongjun had told him in Zixiao Palace.
