After getting into the car, Su Yu still couldn't figure out why Gu Lin had insisted on coming with him.

When it came to Su Yu's affairs, Gu Lin had always acted as though they had nothing to do with him. Su Yu had long since grown used to it.

[He can't really want to get to know Lu Heyun, can he?]

[He definitely has some other motive.]

[Mm... I need to be careful.]

What Su Yu didn't know was that Gu Lin had heard nearly all of his thoughts along the way. This omega's inner world was far too active; his thoughts had not stopped from the moment they left the house.

[Lu Heyun: Where are you now? Do you need me to come pick you up?]

Su Yu glanced at the car's navigation. They still had roughly a third of the journey left.

[Su Yu: No need. We'll be there soon. Don't let this delay your competition.]

[Lu Heyun: Mm, that's good.]

Gu Lin casually glanced at Su Yu and saw him lowering his head to reply to messages. No wonder he had become so much quieter. Just as Su Yu was about to turn off his phone, he suddenly remembered that Gu Lin was sitting beside him. He had to tell Lu Heyun in advance that he had brought someone along.

Su Yu raised his head, and their gazes happened to meet. In just an instant, Gu Lin shifted his eyes away without a trace.

Thinking back to Gu Lin's earlier look, a ridiculous thought suddenly popped into Su Yu's head.

[He... isn't going to kill me on the way home just because he doesn't like the look of me, is he?]

But after that thought crossed his mind, Su Yu simply lowered his head and continued replying to messages, without the slightest sense of danger.

Gu Lin: "..."

Maybe there was really something wrong with his brain.

[Su Yu: Are the seats in the front already assigned? Is there an extra seat?]

Lu Heyun might have been busy at the moment. Su Yu waited two or three minutes before receiving a reply that the seats had already been assigned. He unconsciously bit his finger, feeling somewhat troubled. Perhaps Lu Heyun had realized something, because before Su Yu could send another message, Lu Heyun took the initiative to ask whether he had brought someone with him.

[Su Yu: Yes, I brought someone. He insisted on coming to see the world.]

Gu Lin did not know anyway, so Su Yu casually made something up. Yet for some reason, after sending that message, he felt as though Gu Lin had glanced at him again.

Lu Heyun did not ask further. He sent an emoji, then said he would arrange another seat.

After arriving at the competition venue, Su Yu found their seats according to the seat numbers Lu Heyun had sent him. Their seats were very close to the front, right behind the judges' panel, with an excellent view of the contestants performing.

Su Yu checked the time. There were still ten minutes before the competition began, and the seat beside him was still empty. But not long after he sat down, he saw Su Wang strolling over with a helmet in hand.

Su Wang had always walked with an air of looking down on everyone. With his sunglasses on, he did not notice Su Yu as he approached, and even after sitting down, he still did not notice him.

Su Yu remained quiet. He neither spoke nor reacted physically in any way. Gu Lin, sitting beside him, felt his brow twitch violently, and all he could hear was a noisy clamor by his ear.

After the host finished introducing the competition, it officially began. To everyone's surprise, Su Hui was the first contestant to take the stage. Dressed in a white formal outfit, he stood onstage like a little prince and bowed to the audience. His fair face bore a smile, his lips red and teeth white, his appearance obedient and lovable.

The listless Su Wang immediately perked up when he saw that Su Hui was the first to appear. He took off his sunglasses, not even knowing who was beside him, and excitedly nudged them. "Bro, bro, did you see that? That's my little brother. My real little brother."
