The instant they sensed that savage aura, Fang Yun and Greedy Wind went on full alert, but once they saw the creature in its entirety, both relaxed.

It was a gigantic black ape. Even before standing fully upright, it towered over thirty zhang tall, its two enormous arms hanging almost to the ground. Black flames wreathed its hands, sizzling and distorting the air nearby.

It actually had three faces on its head: one facing forward and one on either side. All three looked as though they had been coated in white ash, giving them a pallid cast. The eyes and mouths of the two side faces were tightly shut, while the eyes of the front face were open, looking their way.

Its eyes were deep blue as the sea, eerie and uncanny.

An eerie smile appeared on the Three-Faced Ape's face. "I never expected to meet two fellow clansmen here. I take it you're looking for Saint's Fingers too?"

Fang Yun knew less about the present-day Ancient Demons than Greedy Wind did, so he looked toward Greedy Wind.

Greedy Wind drew in his bony wings slightly to show he meant no harm, then nodded. "Indeed. Mountain Bearer and I came here together to look for Saint's Fingers. Three-Face, how long have you been here?"

The Three-Faced Ape replied, "Only four hours. I didn't want to venture deep inside right away, so I've been searching along the edges. That's how I ran into you."

Greedy Wind shook his head. "I spent the past few days in the Yin-Spirit Plains, but all I found along the edges were some bones and sacred qi clusters. There were no Saint's Fingers at all. After going deeper, I blundered into a Moonland and came under attack.
