An orange beam suddenly shot out from the island's Temple of Sages, surging straight toward the Moon Tree like a fountain.

The Moon Tree hung high in the sky. At first, it merely emitted faint blood-colored Moon Essence, but the blood-colored Moon Essence grew increasingly dense until it finally formed a pillar of crimson light that enveloped the entire Hunting Ground Island.

Within that pillar of crimson light, the Temple of Sages' orange Literary Qi stood unmoving.

The two powers were evenly matched, locked in a stalemate.

The entire Hunting Ground Island was completely cut off from the outside world. Those on the island could neither send messages outward nor receive them.

The only connection remaining with Hunting Ground Island was the Literary Ranking.

Unless the Temple of Sages' power was completely suppressed, the link between the Literary Ranking and the Hunting Grounds would not be severed.

If the Temple of Sages lost its power, all message transmission in the surrounding area would be cut off.

Inside the Temple of Sages, three full drops of Sacred Blood transformed into three translucent Half-Sage Incarnations. The three incarnations tried to rush out through the Temple of Sages' gates, but all were blocked by the blood-colored Moon Essence.

Only the power of Sainthood could interrupt the Spring Hunt. If the three Half-Sage Incarnations could not leave, the Metropolitan Graduate Spring Hunt could not be stopped.

In a side hall of the Temple of Sages, ten Great Scholars in purple robes sat within, every one of them with his eyes closed in contemplation.

The blood-colored Moon Essence had trapped them inside the Temple of Sages as well.

As Hunting Ground Island was shrouded in the Moon Tree's radiance, tens of millions of Demon Barbarians were rapidly marching toward Spring Hunt Island.
