Ch. 1935Sword-Washing Dragon Palace

Fang Yun used the Grand Competition Order to force Ao Cang and ten Demon Kings into battle against the Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarians at Heaven-Scraping Cliff. As the Ice Clan began to collapse, Fang Yun prepared to collect the summoned Demon Kings’ souls and sent Hu Li to prepare a sneak attack.

  • The Bear Demon King burned his lifespan under the Grand Competition Order’s control and overwhelmed the Ice Clan Demon Kings.
  • Fang Yun ordered Ao Cang to fight Ice Bone King and sent the other controlled Demon Kings against the Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarians.
  • Ao Cang’s Dragon Flame drove back the enemy as the two sides began a fierce battle, while Fang Yun watched and drank tea with Hu Li.
  • The Demon Realm fighters’ superior bloodlines and combat experience wore down the Ice Clan, reducing its more than two hundred Demon Kings to fewer than fifty survivors.
  • Fang Yun told Hu Li to prepare to sneak-attack the Ice Clan or Blood Demon Barbarian Demon Kings, and said he would deal with the controlled Demon Kings because he wanted their souls.

Ch. 1936A chaotic battle between both sides

Fang Yun used the Shattered-Ice Demon Kings’ explosive deaths to devastate the Ice Clan forces, then led the surviving Demon Kings in pursuit as Hu Li killed the fleeing Ice Bone King. Hu Li joined the hunt against the remaining wounded Ice Clan Demon Kings, vowing to avenge her people.

  • Hu Li left the Marquis Wu Chariot unseen while the battle continued, and the last Blood Demon Barbarian Demon King of the Ten Cold Ancient Land died.
  • The Ice Bone King ordered nine Shattered-Ice Demon Kings to attack Fang Yun and began fleeing, while Fang Yun called on Lang Po, Hu Lan, and Ao Cang to strike three of them.
  • Lang Po, Hu Lan, and Ao Cang killed three Shattered-Ice Demon Kings, whose explosions set off a chain reaction that killed five more and badly wounded the surviving fighters.
  • The Ice Bone King fled as the Ice Clan forces collapsed, and the Demon Kings on Fang Yun’s side pursued them.
  • Hu Li ambushed and beheaded the Ice Bone King near Heaven-Scraping Cliff, then charged after the wounded Ice Clan Demon Kings to avenge her people.

Ch. 1937Fang Yun's Command

Fang Yun defeated the Ice Clan Demon Kings and confronted the exhausted Sea-Calming Dragon King over the Western Sea Dragon Palace’s repeated attacks against him. As Ao Cang and his allies revealed powerful abilities they had yet to use, the confrontation remained unresolved.

  • Hu Li and Fang Yun’s summoned Demon Kings killed every Ice Clan Demon King except Bing Tong, who chose to watch.
  • Fang Yun refused the Sea-Calming Dragon King’s request to be sent away and declared that he would kill him for good.
  • Fang Yun accused the Western Sea Dragon Palace of stealing his ancestral dragon true blood and repeatedly trying to kill him, while Ao Cang insisted the blood had belonged to his side.
  • Ao Cang threatened to use the Heaven-Earth Dragon Transformation Art, and Fang Yun questioned whether he had mastered it.
  • Lang Po and Hu Lan revealed that they could summon the Ancestral God Clan’s ancestral spirit colossus, surprising Hu Li.

Ch. 1938Heaven-Earth Dragon Transformation Art

Fang Yun revealed that he had recovered his strength and had been using the Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarians to weaken the Demon Kings he intended to kill. He began composing four poems against the wounded Demon Kings, but the first poem’s snow and illusions seemed ineffective as they advanced.

  • The Sea-Calming Dragon King and Lang Po dismissed Fang Yun’s claim that the Ten Cold Ancient Land favored him, while Fang Yun explained that the land carried Ancestral Emperor Tu Ting’s will.
  • Fang Yun revealed that his real aim had been to kill the Demon Kings from the Three Valleys Battle, and Bing Tong realized he had concealed his recovered strength.
  • Fang Yun’s aura rose to that of a Peak Grand Academician, and he summoned his literary treasures and sacred blood to begin writing four poems.
  • Fang Yun completed a poem that multiplied and strengthened the snow, turning it into a Great Scholar-level effect that also obscured distant tracks and scenery.
  • The Sea-Calming Dragon King, Lang Po, and the other Demon Kings judged the poem’s snow and illusions harmless to them, then continued approaching Fang Yun while recovering.

Ch. 1939Bury Every Treacherous Path Beneath the Snow

Fang Yun used three poems to turn the falling snow into an increasingly powerful storm while the Demon Kings advanced on him. The storm battered them but did not stop their march, and Fang Yun began preparing his fourth poem as some enemies grew suspicious.

  • Fang Yun wrote a second poem that made the snowflakes grow larger and heavier, but the Demon Kings pushed them aside with blood energy and mocked him.
  • Fang Yun wrote a third poem describing Candle Dragon, a bitter northern blizzard, and a wife mourning her husband, causing the wind and snow to intensify dramatically.
  • Mat-sized snowflakes crashed down on the Demon Kings, forcing them to spend more blood energy or Dragonforce to withstand the relentless storm.
  • The Demon Kings mocked Fang Yun and called for a united attack, while a few wary enemies secretly questioned the Sea-Calming Dragon King about the poems and urged caution.

Ch. 1940Song of the North Wind

Fang Yun used the first three poems to gather the forces of the Ice Emperor Palace and wrote a War Poetry that turned the Demon Kings’ own plans against them. As the Sea-Calming Dragon King’s transformation failed, the Candle Dragon’s sun-and-moon eyes plunged the battlefield into darkness and severed divine sense.

  • The Demon Kings debated Fang Yun’s strengthening wind and snow, while the Sea-Calming Dragon King urged them to recover their strength and wait.
  • Fang Yun invoked an ancient bronze poetry cauldron and wrote a poem heralding spring’s return after winter’s deepest cold.
  • The Sea-Calming Dragon King recognized Fang Yun’s plan to wield the power of two seasons and began the Heaven-Earth Dragon Transformation Art.
  • The Sea-Calming Dragon King realized the first three poems had drawn the region’s power into Fang Yun’s poem, preventing his transformation from gathering a second layer.
  • Fang Yun summoned the Candle Dragon’s sun-and-moon eyes, which darkened the world and cut off sight and divine sense.

Ch. 1941Awaiting Only the First Peal of New Thunder

Fang Yun used a World-Passing thunder poem to kill the Sea-Calming Dragon King, then invoked the Heaven-Watching Edict to stop his soul from escaping and slew him again. He turned to face the ten Demon Kings as they rallied to attack, while the thunderous cloud vortex still hung overhead.

  • The Demon Kings lost their senses in Fang Yun's darkness, then saw him unleash a vast thunderstorm above Heaven-Scraping Cliff.
  • The Sea-Calming Dragon King charged Fang Yun, but a bolt from the cloud vortex severed his head.
  • The Sea-Calming Dragon King tried to escape through the Dragon Soul Tree, but Fang Yun used the Heaven-Watching Edict to summon his soul back and block his escape.
  • Fang Yun killed the resurrected Sea-Calming Dragon King with the True Dragon Ancient Sword, stored his body, and faced the ten Demon Kings.
  • The ten Demon Kings chose to attack Fang Yun as Lang Po's and Hu Lan's Ancestral Spirit Colossi prepared to strike beneath the still-active cloud vortex.

Ch. 1942Thunder Executes Sea-Calming

Fang Yun used the storm he had built with his poems to kill the Demon Kings from the Three Valleys Battle at Heaven-Scraping Cliff. After the human Grand Academicians arrived, he invited them to prepare for the final contest of the Ten Cold Kings.

  • Fang Yun summoned nearly a hundred thunderbolts, destroying Lang Po and Hu Lan's Ancestral Spirit Colossi and killing the remaining Demon Kings.
  • Bing Tong realized Fang Yun had used the Heaven-Watching Edict and three poems to build enough momentum for his final poem, “Spring Thunder.”
  • Xiao Yetian and the other human Grand Academicians climbed Heaven-Scraping Cliff and found Fang Yun beside the Demon King corpses.
  • Fang Yun told the newcomers that he had used the Grand Competition Order to bring the Three Valleys Battle Demon Kings there for revenge.
  • Fang Yun offered the Grand Academicians tea and told them to prepare for the final contest of the Ten Cold Kings, while Bing Tong complained that nothing remained to contest.

Ch. 1943Spring Thunder Rang Again and Again

Bing Tong recounted how Fang Yun defeated the demons and killed the Sea-Calming Dragon King, whose death sent the Western Sea into catastrophe. In the Ice Emperor Palace, Fang Yun examined the Pulao Sea Soul he had obtained and used its power to protect and nourish his Literary Guts.

  • Bing Tong told Xiao Yetian that Fang Yun used poems, the Ice Emperor Palace, and Tu Ting's power to defeat the demons and seize the Sea-Calming Dragon King's soul.
  • Xiao Yetian learned that Fang Yun had killed the Sea-Calming Dragon King and collected his remains, leaving the Grand Academicians with no spoils.
  • The Western Sea Dragon Sage's grief over his son's death stirred catastrophic waves, while the Sacred Academy raised a vast dam to protect the coast.
  • Fang Yun discovered the Dragon Emperor Sea Soul inside his Literary Palace and recognized its immense value.
  • Fang Yun used a drop of the Dragon Emperor Sea Soul to shield his Literary Guts and began benefiting from its power to heal and nourish his Literary Palace.

Ch. 1944Obtaining the Sea Soul

Fang Yun and the Grand Academicians reached the Grand Arena after fighting through the Ice Clan and Demon Barbarians, and Fang Yun killed an Ice Clan Demon King who came after them. Fang Yun and Bing Tong both refused the first imperial crown, leaving Xiao Yetian eager to claim it as they approached the ten crowns.

  • Zeng Yue told Fang Yun that the Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarians had ambushed them, killing several Grand Academicians before the humans prevailed.
  • Fang Yun killed an Ice Clan Demon King with the True Dragon Ancient Sword and ordered the Grand Academicians to kill any Ice Clan or Blood Demon Barbarian who came up.
  • Fang Yun offered Bing Tong First Cold City's imperial crown, but Bing Tong insisted that Fang Yun deserved the first crown and refused to take it himself.
  • Xiao Yetian declared that he would take the first imperial crown if Fang Yun and Bing Tong would not, while Yan Huaishi said the Yan Family would take only the third crown.
  • Fang Yun led the group toward the Grand Arena, where ten imperial crowns floated before the Ice Throne and Xiao Yetian stared at the first crown.

Ch. 1945Dividing the Imperial Crowns

Fang Yun let the human families and Bing Tong claim the Frost Lord Imperial Crowns, then revealed ten Ancient Demon treasures in the arena and chose one. He ordered everyone to swear secrecy about what happened in the Ice Emperor Palace, leaving Xiao Yetian hesitating.

  • Yan Huaishi, Bing Tong, and representatives of five human households each took a Frost Lord Imperial Crown.
  • Xiao Yetian claimed the first crown and praised Fang Yun while asserting that he had to shoulder the duty for the Human Race.
  • Fang Yun asked Hu Li to take the remaining two crowns and trade them to the Ice Clan after Bing Tong declined to claim them.
  • Fang Yun spoke in the Ancient Demon Language, causing ten jade boxes to appear above the Ice Emperor's Divine Throne.
  • Fang Yun chose the ninth jade box and stored it in his Sea-Swallowing Shell.
  • Fang Yun ordered everyone to swear secrecy; the human Grand Academicians, Hu Li, and Bing Tong swore, while Xiao Yetian hesitated.

Ch. 1946Jade Box

After the Human Race won nearly all the Frost Lord Imperial Crowns, the Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarians demanded to know what had happened inside the Ice Emperor Palace. Bound by the Mouth-Sealing Edict, Bing Tong could reveal only part of the story, leaving the rival races furious and the humans defending their victory.

  • Xiao Yetian swore an oath to keep the events inside the Ice Emperor Palace secret, and the group left the Grand Arena as the ice mountain closed.
  • Fang Yun and the others emerged before the Ice Emperor Grand Hall and found the palace frozen over, with nine Frost Lord Imperial Crowns in Human hands.
  • King Bing Han confronted the humans and Bing Tong, demanding an explanation for the missing Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarian Demon Kings.
  • Bing Tong confirmed that a Mouth-Sealing Edict prevented him from describing what happened at Heaven-Scraping Cliff, after recounting the deaths of several Demon Kings.
  • Yan Ningxiao, Zeng Yue, and the human crowd rejected the rival races' accusations of foul play, and the Ice Clan and Blood Demon Barbarians had no evidence to support them.

Ch. 1947Leaving the Ice Emperor Hall

Fang Yun faced a threatened battle in the Ice Emperor Palace by proposing that the Ice Clan buy Frost Lord Imperial Crowns rather than fight the Human Race. The Ice Clan began negotiating for five cities and demanded control of the Mist Pool.

  • King Bing Han demanded eight Frost Lord Imperial Crowns for the Ice Clan, and the Great Demon Kings blocked the humans from leaving the palace.
  • Yan Ningxiao warned that the six Great Scholars would no longer protect the others if battle began, while Fang Yun said the Sages would avenge the humans if they died inside the palace.
  • Fang Yun accused the Demon Realm of manipulating a Great Demon King and opened a sealed-bid auction for two crowns, allowing only the Ice Clan to bid.
  • Fang Yun rebuked King Bing Han for urging the Ice Clan to fight and offered two additional crowns so the Ice Clan could hold five cities.
  • A First Cold City Great Demon King demanded control of the Mist Pool, and Fang Yun refused, proposing that the two races divide it equally and offering the Ice Clan more supplies instead.

Ch. 1948Mutual compromise

Fang Yun secured the Frost Lord Imperial Crowns and led the races out of the Ice Emperor Palace, where Xiao Yetian put on a crown and transformed into the Ice Emperor. The Ice Emperor demanded the Mist Butterfly from Fang Yun as Ao Zhou rushed toward the Ten Cold Ancient Land.

  • The Frost Cities secretly bid for the four Frost Lord Imperial Crowns, and Fang Yun received their treasures and divine materials.
  • Fang Yun created ice stairways, led the races across the frozen wall, and brought the Human Race out through the Ice Emperor Palace's main gates.
  • Ao Zhou spotted Fang Yun at the palace gates and accelerated toward the Ten Cold Ancient Land, believing he could kill him.
  • Xiao Yetian placed the First Imperial Crown on his head, transformed into an overwhelming being of ice, and caused the Ice Clan and Demon Barbarians to collapse under his aura.
  • The Ice Emperor demanded that Fang Yun hand over the Mist Butterfly and declared that he would spare Fang Yun's life.

Ch. 1949The Ice Emperor Descends!

Fang Yun revealed his standing as a Fu Yue Clan inheritor and confronted the Ice Emperor over the Ice Clan’s hostility and the fate of the Snow Maiden. The Ice Emperor acknowledged Fang Yun’s account of his efforts to resurrect his sister and insisted that he would sacrifice anything to do so.

  • The Zong Family blamed Fang Yun for Xiao Yetian’s death, but Fang Yun explained how Xiao Yetian had chosen the First Imperial Crown and struck a Zong Family Hanlin who continued accusing him.
  • Fang Yun exposed the Ice Emperor’s remnant soul and called King Bing Han an insolent Ice Slave, prompting the Ice Emperor to freeze and destroy King Bing Han.
  • Fang Yun summoned Starry Mountain and commanded the Ice Clan members hostile to him to die, killing more than a hundred thousand and forcing the survivors to kneel.
  • The Ice Emperor bowed to Fang Yun as a fellow Fu Yue clansman, but refused to let him leave the Ten Cold Ancient Land because he intended to resurrect the Snow Maiden.
  • Fang Yun recounted how the Snow Maiden had become a remnant soul and how the Ice Emperor had tried to use the Frost Realm to bring her back; the Ice Emperor confirmed that his account was broadly correct.

Ch. 1950The Ice Emperor Pays His Respects

Fang Yun exposed the Ice Emperor’s role in Ancient Land Genesis Destruction and learned that both the Ice Emperor and the approaching Flood Dragon Sage intended to kill him. As the Flood Dragon Sage’s voice rang out, the skies cleared and a gigantic fireball approached.

  • Fang Yun revealed that the Ice Emperor used the Ten Cold Imperial Crowns to gather memories and harvested lives during Ancient Land Genesis Destruction, while secretly manipulating the Yan Family's Ninth Frost Lord to pursue his Mist Butterfly.
  • Yan Ningxiao tried to kill himself out of shame, but Fang Yun stopped him and urged the Yan Family to blame the Ice Emperor instead.
  • The Ice Emperor explained that Fang Yun had taken half the power he had accumulated and said he planned to seize the Mist Butterfly for his sister's remnant soul, then destroy everyone in the Ancient Land.
  • A voice from beyond the heavens announced that Fang Yun would die, and the Ice Emperor recognized it as the Flood Dragon Sage, who was coming to kill Fang Yun rather than aid him.
  • The Ice Emperor reacted to a sudden change in the sky as the clouds cleared, three golden suns appeared, and a gigantic fireball raced toward them.

Ch. 1951The Flood Dragon Sage Arrives

Fang Yun watched the Ice Emperor die as Mountain Bearer’s killing formation activated against the Flood Dragon Sage. The formation gathered the Ten Cold Ancient Land’s peaks into the Great Massacre Axe, whose residual power struck through the stars and threatened the fleeing Sage.

  • The Flood Dragon Sage arrived above the Starfire Armillary Mirror, but the Ice Emperor revealed that he had triggered Mountain Bearer’s killing formation and was now trapped by its slowing power.
  • As the three suns poured power into the Ten Cold Ancient Land, the ice melted and Xiao Yetian begged Fang Yun to save him, but Fang Yun refused and the Ice Emperor collapsed into water.
  • Fang Yun killed Zong Family members who cursed him and ordered that anyone undermining morale before the great enemy be executed.
  • The Ten Cold Ancient Land’s mountains rose and converged into the Great Massacre Axe, while the Flood Dragon Sage fled with the Starfire Armillary Mirror.
  • A giant hand moved the Great Massacre Axe only slightly before it fell apart, but its strike became a vast river of blood that shattered the starry sky and overtook the Flood Dragon Sage.

Ch. 1952The Great Massacre Axe

Fang Yun defeated the Flood Dragon Sage and asserted control over the Ten Cold Ancient Land, then ordered the Ice Clan to destroy the Blood Demon Barbarians. He prepared to leave the region while arranging for the Human Race to take control of its Frost Lord Imperial Crowns and cities.

  • The Flood Dragon Sage used Blood Drop Myriad Transformations to escape, vowing revenge on Fang Yun and the Human Race.
  • The Ice Clan and the other races recognized Fang Yun’s authority after he summoned Starry Mountain and forced the Ice Emperor’s remnant soul to bow.
  • Fang Yun commanded the Ice Clan kings to slaughter the Blood Demon Barbarians, and the Ice Clan launched a one-sided attack.
  • Fang Yun told Yan Ningxiao that the Ice Emperor’s remnant soul had sacrificed itself to preserve the Snow Maiden and instructed him to keep the information secret.
  • Fang Yun sent Yan Ningxiao to First Cold City to contact the Sacred Academy and ordered the Ice Clan’s Frost Lord Thrones sent to his home.
  • Fang Yun planned to write an essay that would prevent Ice Clan members from using Frost Lord Imperial Crowns and give the Human Race control of the crowns and several cities.

Ch. 1953The New King of Ten Cold

After the Blood Demon Barbarians were defeated, Fang Yun used the Historical Records to establish that the Ice Clan were descendants of Ancient Demon criminals and therefore Ice Slaves, stripping them of their claim to rule the Ten Cold Ancient Land. When an Ice Clan Demon King defied him, Fang Yun sentenced him and his bloodline to death, leaving the gathered races terrified of his authority.

  • Fang Yun wrote the history of the Ice Slaves, revealing that their ancestors had colluded with the Demon Realm and were never descendants of Ancestral Emperor Tu Ting.
  • Fang Yun finished the account, and the Historical Records spread its truth throughout the Ten Cold Ancient Land, reducing the Ice Clan to Ice Slaves and denying them the Frost Lord Imperial Crowns.
  • The Ice Clan kings reported that they had exterminated the Blood Demon Barbarians, and Fang Yun accepted their report as the Historical Records absorbed his writing.
  • An Ice Clan Demon King challenged Fang Yun, who sentenced him to death; the Demon King’s blood drained away and his flesh peeled off until only his skeleton remained.
  • Fang Yun declared the Demon King’s entire clan executed, killing 142 relatives and descendants as the gathered races watched in terror.

Ch. 1954A Word to Execute

Fang Yun forced the Ice Clan to prove it was an enslaved race, then made it surrender its treasures and accept the Human Race’s terms. The Human Race successfully claimed six Frost Lord Imperial Crowns, and Fang Yun left to connect First Cold City to the Sacred Academy and establish control over the Ten Cold Ancient Land.

  • Fang Yun demanded ninety percent of the Ice Clan’s savings as atonement and killed an attacking Great Demon King with a thought.
  • Fang Yun showed the Ice Clan that its members could not wear the Frost Lord Imperial Crowns, and more than fifty died trying.
  • Yan Huaishi and five other Grand Academicians successfully wore crowns and became Frost Lords.
  • More than thirty thousand Ice Clan members committed suicide rather than live as slaves, before Ice Gang King agreed to surrender the clan’s treasures.
  • Fang Yun took the Ice Clan’s strongest treasures and ordered the willing Ice Slaves to become Human Race vassals in Frost City, while forbidding the unwilling from entering.
