Qin Ran did not know what kind of existence his opponent was, but he knew that the other party was merely another piece in Broker's scheme.

However, starting with Giant Dade's appearance, Burning Marquis's attack, and Giant Dade's heavily wounded retreat, more information came before Qin Ran. In particular, Angsekede's easy "death" and Burning Marquis's failure to finish off Giant Dade gave Qin Ran a suspicion: Angsekede and Burning Marquis had formed an alliance.
That suspicion seemed somewhat unbelievable.
But aside from that possibility, Qin Ran could think of no other explanation.
Everything had been too perfectly timed.
Giant Dade had easily killed Angsekede and, without causing much damage to Dawn City, had been severely wounded by Burning Marquis.
Such an easy death did not match the impression Angsekede had always given Qin Ran in the slightest, much less Burning Marquis.
Although he had only briefly encountered Burning Marquis, Qin Ran still vividly remembered the man's arrogant, domineering air.
Leaving aside whether someone like him would readily act just because another person asked, once he did act, he could not possibly show mercy. He would certainly go for a killing blow and leave no survivors.
