Chapter 1489: Initial Consultation
Behind Harvest Tavern, in an alley.
Rachel crouched on the ground with a cigarette between her lips, utterly unconcerned with her appearance as she watched "J. Perelman," whom Qin Ran had tossed to the ground for Deer Deer to examine.
A faint white glow streaked with a hint of emerald radiance emerged from Deer Deer's hands and shrouded "J. Perelman."
Lawless stood with his arms folded, watching everything.
He stood beside his friend and, watching the process that would clearly continue for some time, quietly asked him,
"According to what you said, Fisherman has been possessed?"
Lawless emphasized the word "possessed."
That was the wording Qin Ran had come up with when explaining things to him earlier.
Qin Ran wisely avoided mentioning things such as "personality." When introducing Deer Deer, he had clearly stated that he was a doctor, while making it even clearer that he had come because of the "J. Perelman" incident.
As for the true purpose?

"But one thing is certain: the guy inside 'J. Perelman' is quite arrogant and somewhat clever. Perhaps he has come into contact with considerable sources of information in Giant City, but he definitely has not had deeper contact. Therefore, he should possess some influence without being particularly powerful, while his personal strength is relatively formidable."
