Qin Ran looked at the tavern owner in surprise as she abruptly stopped speaking.
The two of them had clearly been speaking openly and honestly.

Suddenly, something occurred to Qin Ran.
"Are you not allowed to say?"
"Or are you unable to?"
Qin Ran asked directly.
The tavern owner said nothing, silently wiping a glass and even avoiding Qin Ran's gaze.
For Qin Ran, however, that reaction was enough.
"I understand."
Qin Ran nodded and did not press her further.
"I'll investigate."
"Once I have results, I'll tell you everything."
With that, the tavern owner turned and headed toward the small lounge.
After watching her leave, Qin Ran walked over to the thoroughly cheerful Lawless.
"2567, wait for me!"
"I'm just about to finish the challenge!"
Lawless spoke as he drank, but by the time Qin Ran reached the table, his consciousness was already fading, and he had begun sliding underneath it.
Mixing just two or three kinds of liquor could easily get someone drunk, let alone twenty-two carefully blended varieties.
The fact that his consciousness was merely fading was proof of Lawless's impressive tolerance. An ordinary person might have drunk themselves to death.
Qin Ran grabbed his friend and tossed him onto a sofa.
"Deer Deer, check whether he's all right."
Qin Ran called to Deer Deer nearby.
"Mm."
Although he had joined the gathering, Deer Deer maintained his discipline as a doctor: not a drop of alcohol.
"He's fine, 2567. Lawless does this all the time."
"Yeah, he'll sober up in a bit."
Hans and Lamont spoke with grins.
Clearly, their thoughts had not strayed any further.

"It's precisely because he does this so often that Deer Deer should examine him. I don't want some
