The innkeeper quietly watched the shadow puppets Qin Ran made with his hands. After a moment of silence, he shook his head.

"They're different."

"They have no souls."

That was what the innkeeper said.

"Souls?"

"Yours are just ordinary shadow puppets too. They don't have souls either, do they?"
