The Upper Evil Spirit remained calm inwardly.
Having mobilized almost all of Aetandin's influence and resources, if they still failed to find any traces left by the Broker, it would certainly advise its Boss to leave immediately.
Because such an outcome could mean only two things.
First, the Broker possessed power far beyond what it and its Boss had imagined, and had turned this world into his own backyard.
And the second?
It was a trap!
A trap meant to keep its Boss here.
Although the time spent entering a dungeon world was practically negligible compared with time in the Giant City.
Sometimes, however, a few minutes could change everything, let alone one to three hours.
With the Broker's scheming, it was entirely possible for the whole Giant City to be overturned.
Fortunately, neither of those worst-case possibilities had come to pass.
Without needing any adjustment, the Upper Evil Spirit adopted Gelsak's habitual solemn expression.
"What did you find?"
The Upper Evil Spirit asked.
"A few strongholds."
"They should be contingencies left behind by that person's envoy."
"We've caught everyone and are interrogating them."
Wofft answered.
Then the southern representative added another remark.
"I'll get their confessions as soon as possible."
"Councilor Aitfen won't obstruct us on this."
Wofft greatly enjoyed the current atmosphere of cooperation and had adapted to it well. He did not want any unnecessary misunderstandings to arise.
"Having leads is a good thing."
"As for Councilor Aitfen?"
"I know him well."
The Upper Evil Spirit answered, but the solemnity on its face did not lessen at all. Instead, its expression grew even graver.
Holleka, who had been standing silently nearby, stepped forward right on cue.
"My lord, what's wrong?"
Holleka asked.
"We're losing the initiative.
