Boer met Qin Ran more than ten hours later.
When he walked out of the tent where the Mist Church received visitors, Boer could not help looking up at the gloomy sky.
The occasional flashes of Thunder and the low-hanging dark clouds all told people that terrible weather was coming.
By this point, most people could no longer tell whether such Thunder was real thunder or the War God's wrath.
Still, no matter what it was, life had to go on.
The Plague had been contained.
Aitandinburg had regained its vitality.
Yet whenever people looked toward the cathedral of the Temple of the War God, their gazes became strange.
Some things could not be concealed just because one wished to hide them.
Especially when someone was deliberately fanning the flames.
Had 2567 been involved?
Boer asked himself.
The answer was yes.
It could even be said that 2567 should have been one of the key players.
But when facing a god...
He could only hope nothing unexpected happened.
Boer silently prayed.
He admitted that 2567 was very strong.
He was among the best in Giant City.
But no matter how strong he was, he could never be a god.
Only Gods could deal with Gods!
That was an acknowledged truth.
"If it's that woman..."
Boer could not help thinking of the woman who had put him in his current predicament.
She was a terrifying existence.
So much so that when he thought of her, the first emotion he felt was not wrath, but fear.
Instinctively pulling his coat tighter around himself, Boer temporarily cast aside his memories of that woman and began considering his future path.
Complete every mission he could and follow the trail of 2567 and the others.
What he had lost...
He would take it back eventually!
