After mobilizing almost all of Aetandin's influence and forces, if they still couldn't find any traces left by the "Broker," it would certainly advise its Boss to leave at once.
Because such a result could mean only two things.
First, the "Broker" possessed power far beyond what it and its Boss had imagined, and had turned this world into his own backyard.
And the second?
It was a trap!
A trap meant to keep its Boss here.
Although the time spent entering a dungeon world was almost negligible compared with the time passing in the Giant City.
Sometimes, however, a few minutes could change everything, let alone one to three hours.
With the "Broker" pulling the strings, it wasn't impossible for the entire Giant City to be turned upside down.
Fortunately, neither of those worst-case possibilities had come to pass.
Without needing to make any adjustments, the Upper Evil Spirit assumed Gelsak's habitual solemn expression.
"What did you find?"
The Upper Evil Spirit asked.
"A few bases."
"They should be contingencies left behind by that person's emissary."
"We've captured everyone and are interrogating them."
Wofft answered.
Then the southern representative added another remark.
"I'll get their statements as soon as possible."
"Councilor Aitfen won't obstruct us on this matter."
Wofft liked the current spirit of cooperation and had settled comfortably into it. He didn't want any unnecessary misunderstandings to arise.
"Any lead is good."
"As for Councilor Aitfen?"
"I know him very well."
The Upper Evil Spirit answered, but the solemnity on its face didn't diminish in the slightest. Instead, its expression grew even graver.
Holleka, who had been standing silently nearby, obligingly stepped forward.
"My lord, what's wrong?"
Holleka asked.
"We're losing the initiative. We need to hurry."
