At that instant, the sky was like ice and snow melted by scarlet flames, leaving behind a black, perfectly straight scar.
The ground split apart, and a bottomless fissure spread from beneath Bast's feet all the way to Future Thor's.

Thor's pupils constricted sharply, his face filled with disbelief. He was so frightened that he even forgot to dodge, helplessly watching the enormous black crescent shoot toward him.
Screech!
The world seemed to turn black and white. Thor's body was pierced straight down the middle by the black crescent, leaving a black, straight mark connecting his forehead, the tip of his nose, his lips, and more—until he instinctively raised a hand to touch his cheek.
With a crack!
Thor's body split in two along the line that had pierced his entire body, the upper and lower halves shifting apart like glass.
Yet his face still bore disbelief that Bast had taken Stormbreaker from him, along with shock and confusion over that attack.
Why was she so strong?!
Compared to her, Thor felt like a child wildly swinging an axe.
Was I going to die just like this?
