The Plan in Motion

In the Marvel Universe, as technology advanced and material life grew more abundant, entertainment began to flourish, and online games started booming as well.

In the Himalayas, inside the Kamar-Taj sanctuary, Gu Yi and Cheng Jue sat facing each other at the same tea table. Unlike when Cheng Jue had first arrived, Gu Yi had become far more mature since taking over as Sorcerer Supreme.

"Venerable One, what brings you here this time?" Gu Yi poured Cheng Jue a cup of tea and asked.

Cheng Jue remained unhurried, taking a sip of tea poured by the strongest person on modern Earth before answering, "Gu Yi, would you be interested in being an NPC?"

"Hm?" Gu Yi froze. "The NPC I'm thinking of?"

Gu Yi ran a hand over the teacup as she asked.

"I've seen that Kamar-Taj is connected to Wi-Fi. You should know what it is," Cheng Jue said with a smile.

As he spoke, Cheng Jue pointed to the Eye of Agamotto on Gu Yi's chest.

The moment Cheng Jue pointed at the Eye of Agamotto, Gu Yi could clearly sense a major new branch appearing within the timelines she could observe.

Gu Yi quickly examined it, then could not help sighing. "It's a very interesting plan. Unfortunately, I can't participate in its early stages. What are your plans, Venerable One?"

"Does Kamar-Taj have any connections in the mundane world? I need someone trustworthy to take charge," Cheng Jue told her.

Gu Yi stroked her chin. "Someone trustworthy?" As she spoke, she took out a bell and gave it a shake.

She seemed to be summoning someone. Cheng Jue, seated opposite Gu Yi, could not hear a thing, though if he wanted to, it would have been effortless.

Before long, Cheng Jue heard heavy footsteps outside the room. The newcomer was clearly no lightweight.

The door opened, and Cheng Jue saw an overweight man with Asian features.

The instant he entered, the man's gaze was drawn to the girl seated opposite Master Gu Yi. For a moment, he did not know how to describe her. In the end, all his amazement condensed into one thought: She's as beautiful and natural as an Elf.

"This mage is called Wong. What do you think, Venerable One?" Gu Yi introduced him to Cheng Jue.

What surprised Wong was Master Gu Yi's attitude toward the girl opposite her. Hearing Gu Yi introduce him, Wong could only bury his confusion in his heart and give the impossibly beautiful girl a mage's salute.

"That will do." Cheng Jue nodded in satisfaction.

Seeing that Cheng Jue had no objections, Master Gu Yi said to Wong, "Mage Wong, there is an important matter I need to arrange for you to handle in the mundane world."

Wong's face immediately paled. He asked in alarm, "Master Gu Yi, are you sending me away? I haven't been at Kamar-Taj long, and I haven't made any mistakes."

So Wong had only joined Kamar-Taj recently. No wonder he looked so young, Cheng Jue thought.

"No, Mage Wong, you misunderstand. I'm not sending you away. This matter truly requires you," Gu Yi said, cutting off Wong's wild thoughts. "You may return at any time to study magic."

Seeing the future Sorcerer Supreme's mentor frightened like this, Cheng Jue found it rather amusing. He added, "Since you'll become my employee in the future, I can't be stingy as your boss."

As he spoke, he took out a spellbook and a contract. "This is a spellbook of life-healing magic. This contract is linked to a small planar space, and the energy within will be enough to support your current magical training and combat for a long time."

Wong was greatly moved by this. Seeing that he liked them, Cheng Jue pushed the items toward him. Neither was especially precious. The spellbook was merely copied from the basic magic of Cheng Jue's Elven Civilization, while the energy plane had been casually seized by Cheng Jue moments ago.

Once Wong accepted his new boss's gifts, Cheng Jue nodded to Gu Yi and turned to leave.

Cheng Jue was not worried about what came next, as Gu Yi would arrange everything.

Before long, a company called World Tree Company was established in the United States, specializing in operating video games.

At the same time, in the Super God Universe, on Earth, in North Star, inside a certain conference room.

One elderly man after another flipped through the documents before them without saying a word. The atmosphere was exceptionally heavy.

The only woman in the conference room could not stand such a stifling atmosphere. She spoke up to break the solemn silence. "Elder Huang, you've been reading for so long. Say something already."

"Hehe." The elderly man at the head of the table smiled. "I'm getting old, and my eyesight is failing. I need to look carefully. Talin, young people need to be patient."

That was right. The woman who had spoken earlier was Talin, the super soldier dispatched by the Elven Civilization a thousand years ago to protect Yanhuang on Earth.

Talin said indignantly, "Elder Huang, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm already over four thousand years old this year."

Seeing Talin so angry, Elder Huang was not worried in the slightest. Everyone understood Talin's temperament after all these years. He continued, "Didn't your queen say that although you're four thousand years old, your mental age is only twenty? So, Talin, you're still very young."

"Really? Did Her Majesty say that?" Talin covered her face in embarrassment.

Everyone in the conference room broke into kind laughter.

Only then did Talin realize that these old men had fooled her. She shot the old man across from her a fierce glare.

"All right, all right." Elder Huang pressed his hand down, and the conference room soon fell quiet.

Elder Huang said to Talin, "We've reviewed your queen's proposal. We agree on our end, and we'll help promote it as well."

Hearing this, Talin said happily, "Of course. Our Elven Civilization has always been sincere in helping Yanhuang."

The moment she finished speaking, Talin noticed that quite a few people in the conference room seemed to be hesitating. "What is it?" she asked curiously.

Just as Talin asked, someone beside her spoke up. "It's about public opinion regarding the games."

Talin waved her hand. "It's fine, it's fine. We've already taken that into consideration."

"Since Talin is so confident, then we have no further issues on our end," Elder Huang said.

The moment Elder Huang finished speaking, Talin immediately stood up and left the conference room, muttering, "Being stuck here with a bunch of old men is boring me to death."

Everyone in the conference room watched silently as she left. As her footsteps faded into the distance, the room instantly erupted.

A middle-aged man was the first to speak. "Elder Huang, this technology is far too important. If possible, we should learn it, or perhaps... blah blah blah."

Once the middle-aged man spoke, the others could no longer sit still. They began imagining the prospects of all kinds of additional technologies.

As Elder Huang listened from the head of the table, his expression grew darker and darker. He slapped the table and said, "Quiet."

Though his voice was not loud, everyone in the conference room heard it. In an instant, they fell silent like quails.

They all knew Elder Huang was angry.

Elder Huang tapped the table with his finger and said sternly, "What do you all think you're doing? Have some dignity."

"Even if those technologies were placed before us, could we learn them? Don't lead ourselves into a ditch. Besides, we are allies with the Elves now. China cannot become an ungrateful, dishonorable nation. Not now, and not in the future."

At that point, Elder Huang added, "Don't forget to handle the matters they arranged. It isn't anything difficult for us."

"Meeting adjourned."

Soon after that mysterious meeting ended.

Not far across from Angel International Building in Tianhe City, a towering new building rose from the ground. It was called Elven Tower.

In the Primordial World, within the Grotto-Heaven World, Cheng Jue looked over the information sent from the two worlds and nodded in satisfaction. "The plan is going very smoothly."

At that moment, Cheng Jue sensed something and looked toward the Human Dao Jade Disc. He exclaimed in surprise, "I didn't expect them to succeed so quickly."

In the distance, Cheng Jue saw a brown beam of civilization light soar into the heavens. Within it, the aura of Geo Archon Zhongli rose steadily until he soon broke through to the Heavenly Immortal realm.

Just as Zhongli's aura was about to settle, a brownish-golden divine robe draped itself over him. At that point, Zhongli's strength was below that of a Golden Immortal.

That brownish-golden divine robe was the manifestation of the civilization Zhongli had guided.

Liyue, namely: Civilization of Immortals and Heroes.

At the moment Zhongli broke through, two other auras rose simultaneously.

They belonged respectively to the Civilization of Sword and Magic guided by Anemo Archon Venti.

And the Civilization of Spirits and Samurai guided by Electro Archon Raiden Makoto and her younger sister, Raiden Ei.

Looking at the feedback given by the Human Dao Jade Disc, Cheng Jue narrowed his eyes in bliss. Soon, he comprehended the abilities and Great Dao represented by these three civilizations.

Stroking the Human Dao Jade Disc, Cheng Jue thought, Then it's time for that opportunity to begin.
