Having broken through to the Earth Immortal Realm, Cheng Jue welcomed her first flowering and fruiting.

Not long ago, she had created the Seven Archons. Next, Cheng Jue planned to create a race as well, and she already had a preliminary idea for it.

It was divided into: Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, Nascent Soul, Spirit Transformation, Dao Integration, Mahayana, and Ascension. After Ascension, one became an Earth Immortal, after which they could begin cultivating the subsequent methods of the Myriad Spirits Profound Light Record.

This was the path she had laid out for the lives she created, a road toward immortal cultivation and eternal life.

Returning to the matter at hand, the first elf of the Elven Race created by Cheng Jue had finished gestating. The fruit then fell into a lake beside the World Tree.

As the lake water rippled, a female elf with a slender figure and delicate skin stepped out of the water. Like a newborn infant, the freshly born elf curiously observed this world.

"As expected of a race I created—elegant, beautiful, natural." As she spoke, Cheng Jue awkwardly rubbed her face, assuming she still had one.

Cheng Jue plucked a leaf from herself, and it drifted toward the newly born female elf. A gentle green light flashed, and an emerald-green garment appeared upon the elf's body.

That was right—until then, the newborn girl had been completely naked.

"Thank you for your gift, Mother Goddess." The female elf hurriedly knelt and kowtowed.

Though becoming the World Tree in this life made gender merely an outward appearance, Cheng Jue, who had been a genuine man in her previous life, still felt somewhat uncomfortable being called Mother Goddess.

Yet she did not speak up to correct her.

Seeing that Mother Goddess remained silent for so long, the elf who had intended to remain kneeling helplessly said, "Rise. Since you are my child, you shall be named Skadi."

"Skadi thanks Mother Goddess for bestowing her name," Skadi said respectfully.

"Very well, Skadi. Your younger brothers and sisters are about to be born. You must take good care of them from now on," Cheng Jue instructed Skadi.

Hearing that her younger brothers and sisters were about to be born, Skadi widened her emerald-green eyes and curiously watched the scene before her. Was this how I was born?

One fruit after another fell into the lake, followed closely by leaves drifting down into the water. Skadi saw that the male elves emerging from the lake all wore azure leather armor and were each exceptionally handsome.

The female elves who emerged all wore emerald-green dresses, each one breathtakingly beautiful.

There were fifty elves in the first batch, and including Skadi, there were equal numbers of male and female elves.

Cheng Jue also discovered that the newborn elves all possessed cultivation, though it was unfortunately still too weak.

She activated the authority of the Grotto-Heaven Pearl and examined the first elf she had created: Skadi.

The beautiful elf before her seemed to be enveloped in Merit itself, making Skadi feel so ashamed that she wished she could vanish into the earth, a sense of inferiority rising within her heart.

"Are you the envoy Mother Goddess sent to guide us?" Skadi did not dare look directly at Xiao Meng.

"Yes. My name is Hongmeng. From now on, I will lead the Elven Race in surviving in this world," Xiao Meng said to Skadi under the alias Hongmeng.
