Gulp~
While everyone present was still stunned, Mobius casually took out the Mark-Mark Fruit and swallowed it in one bite.
The strange taste still lingered in his mouth, but Mobius's expression did not change. He had long since grown used to it.
Another new power surfaced within him. Mobius looked at his hands and faintly sensed a newfound control over throwing.
"As long as I touch someone with my hand, anything I throw will chase them until it hits or is knocked off course by an outside force."
The Mark-Mark Fruit's ability was nothing to scoff at either. It embodied the concept of never missing. In the story, Vander Decken IX had even been able to throw Noah, the "Ark of Promise," which was half the size of Fish-Man Island, in an attempt to drag everyone down with him.
That four-legged guy definitely did not have the strength to lift Noah. In other words, using the Mark-Mark Fruit to throw things had no physical requirements.
In theory, this ability could be considered half the power of the Float-Float Fruit. Its strategic value was enormous.
"But for now, it's mine~"
Looking at Vander Decken IX's charred body and Wadatsumi lying there like a corpse, Mobius wore the smile of a victor.
"Come to think of it, Fish-Man bloodlines really are bizarre."
Studying Wadatsumi, Mobius suddenly became curious about what this guy had eaten growing up. His height probably surpassed even that of the ancient giants.
If paired with a decent Devil Fruit, his sheer size alone would make him a devastating weapon on the battlefield.
"What a pity his strength is a bit lacking. Even after taking the Energy Steroid and trading his lifespan for power, he could only defeat a large sea monster like Kraken."
Thinking it over, Mobius no longer dwelled on the issue of this guy's size.
With a wave of his hand, rolling seawater surged over and gathered all the unconscious losers together. Mobius found some rusty iron chains and tightly bound them up.
"Hatchan? Hatchan!"
Walking over to Hatchan, whose head was still spinning, Mobius gave him two hard slaps. Hatchan jolted awake.
"Mobius! Those guys..."
"Uh..."
Looking at Vander Decken IX and his underlings, who had been completely wiped out, Hatchan fell silent again.
"I suppose you understand the importance of physical strength now~" Mobius teased, then prepared to leave.
"Let's go. I've accomplished my goal. Little Shyarly's ability really is impressive, and we got rid of a major threat to Fish-Man Island too. Want to take a look around somewhere else?"
"Ah? Mm."
Hatchan nodded with a bitter smile. Mobius's strength was terrifyingly overwhelming.
Could he become like that too?
Remembering how Wadatsumi had knocked him down with a single punch, Hatchan clenched his fists.
First, I'll set a small goal: get as built as Jinbe!
The two of them dragged a pile of captives and slowly returned to Sea Forest.
Shyarly had been waiting anxiously. When she saw Mobius return, she hurriedly waved to them.
"Mobius, Hatchan, you're back? Did you find what you were looking for?"
Shyarly was nervous. She wanted to know whether her divination ability could really help Mobius.
Mobius smiled, reached out to pat the big shark girl's head, and gave her a thumbs-up.
"I found it. Your ability is even better than I imagined~"
"Please take care of me in the future, Shyarly~"
"Mm!"
Shyarly's eyes lit up at once. Never before—never before had anyone told her that her divination ability could be of such great help.
"I'll work hard!"
Shyarly smiled, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth. It looked fierce, but Mobius found it adorable.
"The ability to foresee the future is amazing. How could no one have noticed this shark girl?"
"Fish-Men, huh~"
Gazing at Fish-Man Island in the distance, Kaido could not help recalling the past.
Back when he was with the Rocks Pirates, there had also been a large Fish-Man officer: Barbel, the catfish warrior. Kaido had fought him before.
Kaido had always remembered the strength of Fish-Men. Not to mention that when he was in Wano Country, he had encountered a Fish-Man samurai who had been quite formidable as well.
"Worororo! Since I'm here, if I can't find that Tiger, I might as well see whether there are any suitable brats around!"
Kaido laughed heartily. He had always liked children with potential.
Among the future Flying Six, aside from one saber-toothed tiger who had failed at his job and found new employment, nearly all were boys and girls of the new generation.
Perhaps influenced by his past experiences, Kaido had come to like children as well.
"But..."
"First, I need to bring a greeting gift!"
His smile faded, and Kaido's demon-like face suddenly twisted into a savage grin. His muscles seemed to roll beneath his skin.
Taking out a human bubble coating spray, Kaido gave himself a casual spray. A coating as tall as a person immediately formed around him, isolating him from the outside world.
On the raided ship, countless crew members trembled as they looked at Kaido. They had reached their destination, and they feared Kaido would kill them.
But Kaido did not even glance at these weaklings. He merely stared straight at Fish-Man Island, a cruel smile spreading across his face.
Boom!
He stomped down fiercely. The deck shattered beneath his feet as Kaido shot forward like a cannonball, hurtling straight toward Fish-Man Island.
The terrifying force nearly snapped the ship serving as his launching platform in half. Its coating burst apart, and seawater began flooding in.
The icy deep sea swallowed everything. Without the protection of its coating, the ship was immediately crushed by the pressure of the sea.
The remaining crew members only had time to show looks of despair before vanishing along with the ship.
Only Kaido slammed headfirst into the bubble coating on Fish-Man Island's surface. The entire coating trembled like pudding, nearly rupturing apart.
Yet with its immense resilience, it still forced Kaido through.
With a pop, the bubble coating around Kaido's body was stripped away by the first layer, exposing his muscular body to the air within the interlayer.
This was also one of Fish-Man Island's defensive measures. To prevent ships from forcibly breaking in, the outer coating would be stripped away if they tried, leaving the ship suspended in the air. Without water to support it, it could only fall and be wrecked.
But Kaido paid it no mind. Facing Fish-Man Island's defenses, he merely erupted into wild laughter.
Thump!
Kicking through the air, Kaido somehow exerted force in midair and forced his way into Fish-Man Island's second layer of coating.
The breathtaking scenery had already appeared before him, and Kaido looked over Fish-Man Island with appreciation.
But his body was still high in the air. He had crashed into the middle of Fish-Man Island, so breaking through would not bring him underground.
As his body fell, the wind howled around him. Kaido slowly adjusted himself, diving headfirst toward the ground with an increasingly terrifying expression.
"Worororo!"
Boom!
A quake-like impact erupted within Fish-Man Island, making the entire island tremble.
The ground split apart, and dust exploded upward, soaring nearly several dozen meters into the air.
The nearby residents of Fish-Man Island stared blankly at the sight, as though time itself had stopped.
Then, a massive hand burst out, tearing through the veil of dust and revealing that heavily muscled body.
"I AM KAIDO OF THE BEASTS!!!"
"FISH-MAN ISLAND, I'M HERE!!!"
Violent sound waves swept in every direction. An overwhelming aura burst forth like the sky collapsing overhead, leaving the minds of every creature caught within it utterly blank.
Thud~
With the sound of someone collapsing, Fish-Man Island residents fell one after another like dominoes.
By the time Kaido looked ahead, almost no one was still standing.
"Tch..."
Kaido clicked his tongue in disdain, deeply disappointed.
"Fish-Man Island, is this all you've got?"
"Forget it. I'll go take a look up there."
Kaido raised his head toward the palace at the very top, his smile growing ever more unrestrained.
"Royalty, huh?"
