The man in black was startled. Before he even saw a figure, Count Otadi had vanished from his sight. He had not even managed to see who had intervened.

Count Otadi, however, was utterly shocked. He almost cried out, "Leo, didn't you fail to inherit the Terror Crocodile Bloodline? No, this isn't the Terror Crocodile Bloodline. Could you be...?"
Count Otadi seemed to have thought of a possibility, and a strange expression crossed his face.
Merlin knew he could no longer hide it. He nodded and said, "That's right. I'm a Parasite!"
"A Parasite!!!"
Count Otadi trembled all over, his eyes shining brightly. Other nobles might keep their distance from Parasites, but he was different. His ancestor had been a powerful Parasite and had even left behind a treasure: the Infamy Pearl.
"Stay here. I'll deal with them."
Merlin's eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the beastified man in black rush out of the hall. He knew running away would not solve the problem, and he was eager to try his strength. After all, the man in black had reached the Third Beastification Form, just as he had. The only difference was that Merlin was a Parasite.
It was time to test his true strength!
