Before long, a secret party led by Mage Pali'o quietly left Eastward City. Yet just after they departed, a young man and woman appeared behind them.
Both wore fitted combat clothes and carried greatswords on their backs, as though they had prepared for this long ago. However, the young man seemed somewhat hesitant. In a low voice, he said, "Katherine, the last time we secretly went into the Kurd Mountains to look for the Spellcaster Organization, Father gave us a severe scolding. If we follow them into danger again and Father finds out, I'm afraid we'll never be allowed out again."
Katherine shot the man a fierce glare and said in a deep voice, "Capes, don't tell me you're scared? Those Dark Blood Bats may be formidable, but this time Mage Pali'o, Mage Simp, and Father are leading the group. There are also thirty Frost Swordsmen of level four and above. What danger could there be? Enough, stop talking. We finally have an opportunity like this, so let's follow them and take a look. Heh, perhaps we'll even see something interesting."
With that, an excited expression appeared on Katherine's face. She then forcibly dragged Capes along as they quietly followed Mage Pali'o's party out of Eastward City.
Outside Eastward City, four young men and women appeared, looking travel-worn. They had evidently been on the road for a long time, and all appeared somewhat weary.
"Eastward City is just ahead. Let's go directly to Marquis Barossa. I'm sure he'll have some information about the Dark Blood Bats."
Holmes seemed to have planned everything out. Throughout the journey, he had indeed been the one making decisions. Lorinka, Merlin, and the others had voiced no opinions and had simply followed Holmes.
Thus, the party of four entered Eastward City directly.
