This was Merlin's first time seeing a Spellcaster Family. The Delman Family's sprawling complex was completely different from the towers scattered throughout the Dark Spirit Domain. Instead, it had many low buildings, each of them broad and occupying a vast area. Potion ingredients were even planted around the houses.
The entire complex resembled a spiderweb, radiating outward. The buildings Merlin saw were merely on the outskirts of the Delman Family.
"Spellcaster Merlin, let's go."
Anliena spoke to Merlin, then led him to the main gate. Both she and Ximi raised their hands, and runes immediately appeared on the gold-trimmed marks at their cuffs. Then, a peculiar fluctuation emerged from thin air. Merlin discovered in surprise that a Rune Formation had also been set up at the entrance.
However, this Rune Formation was not powerful. Merlin could vaguely sense that any First-Level Spell could easily break it. It could not compare at all to the formation in the Dark Spirit Domain, which nearly covered the entire Dark Spirit Domain.
After all, the Rune Formation in the Dark Spirit Domain had been personally arranged by Archmage Fidel. The Delman Family did not possess such a powerful Spellcaster.
After entering the Delman Family, Merlin saw many Spellcasters coming and going. When they saw Anliena, they would salute her. It was obvious at a glance that these Spellcasters were not strong. Some had only constructed one or two Spells.
Throughout the enormous Delman Family, Merlin did not encounter a single First-level Spellcaster.
Merlin could not help asking, "Spellcaster Anliena, your family should count as a relatively powerful Spellcaster Family in Floating City. Why didn't I see even one First-level Spellcaster along the way?"
"A First-level Spellcaster?"
Anliena stopped walking and looked at Merlin with a strange expression. Then she gave a bitter smile. "Spellcaster
