Returning (Part Two)

"Splash..."

Merlin followed Santo the Arcane Mage through the Void Realm. He had no idea how long they had been flying. In this spaceless, timeless realm, Merlin suddenly heard the sound of rushing water.

I'm actually hallucinating now...

Merlin shook his head slightly and said with a bitter smile, "How could there be any rivers in the Void Realm? Let alone the sound of running water."

"Splash..."

However, the sound grew louder and louder, as if it were echoing right beside Merlin's ears.

"You're not hallucinating!"

Santo the Arcane Mage suddenly stopped and pointed ahead. "Look. What is that?"

Merlin followed Santo the Arcane Mage's gaze. The area that had seemed completely empty suddenly transformed when Santo the Arcane Mage waved his hand, and an incredibly magnificent scene appeared before Merlin's eyes.

A gigantic waterfall descended from the heavens. Yet what fell was not water, but golden radiance. The golden light formed a massive waterfall that seemed to flow endlessly.

As the golden radiance streamed down from the enormous waterfall, it rapidly gathered into a starry world. Within that starry world was a cloud-like Plane.

It was indeed a Plane. Merlin had seen many Planes in the Void Realm, and this cloud-like mass contained one!

"Merlin, this is the Land of Glory. Can you guess what that golden waterfall is?"

Santo the Arcane Mage looked at Merlin with an amused smile.

"The golden waterfall?"

Merlin studied the golden waterfall carefully. He could not sense the slightest aura of Laws from the golden light within it. Yet there was no mistaking its immense presence. It was certainly more terrifying than Laws.

Golden light surrounded the Land of Glory on all sides, like a vast lake. To enter the Land of Glory, one had to cross this lake of golden light.
