"The Matrix?"
Merlin was startled. Ever since he had derived his Ninth Level Spell Model, he had barely used the Matrix. The tool that had accompanied him throughout his growth no longer served any purpose.
Its sudden activation caught him off guard.
After a moment's thought, Merlin remembered that the Matrix was, after all, an intelligent quantum supercomputer. Perhaps it could help him control this warship. He took a deep breath. "Confirm scan!"
"Beep. Scanning!"
The Matrix began its scan. Nothing stored aboard the warship escaped it.
"Beep. Scan complete. Large amounts of new data found. Import for analysis?"
"Import and analyze!"
Merlin answered without hesitation. He wanted to know just how much information the Matrix had found aboard the warship.
Then came a long wait. Merlin knew how formidable the Matrix's processing power was. It could analyze tens of thousands of complex Spell Models in a short time.
The amount of data it could handle was almost unimaginable. Yet it kept analyzing for hours without any sign of finishing. Even Merlin was shaken.
