One after another, the vengeful spirits were dispersed by Merlin's Mental Storm. At last, silence settled over the area before the tower. Although they still could not break through the purple region, the danger had passed for now.
Maya came to his senses as well. He gave Merlin a long look and said gravely, "Fortunately, you have Mental Storm. Otherwise, this would have been very troublesome."
Although Maya was an existence comparable to a Titled Legend, he had few ways to deal with these vengeful spirits. Without Merlin, they would indeed have been in trouble.

Merlin was not at ease at all. Although his Mental Storm happened to counter these vengeful spirits, he did not dare underestimate this place. After all, even ordinary Legends could not defeat these spirits. His Mental Storm had swept them away so easily only because Merlin was practically the strongest Mental Power User in the Spellcaster Civilization.
