"Merlin, what are you doing?"
Seeing Merlin head straight toward the Life-and-Death Prison, Mage Santo hurriedly asked.
Merlin did not answer Santo. Instead, he asked Flameglow, "Were the flames in this Life-and-Death Prison left behind by the Flame Emperor?"
"That's right. The flames in the Life-and-Death Prison were left behind by Lord Flame Emperor. In truth, Lord Flame Emperor was different from all of us. There was no such thing as a Flame Clan. From beginning to end, Lord Flame Emperor was the only one, because he was born from flames—or rather, he himself was a wisp of flame!"
Santo raised his brows and said with some disbelief, "How is that possible? If the Flame Emperor was a flame, then he would have reversed the rules. How could that be possible?"
"There is nothing impossible about it."
Facing Santo's doubts, Flameglow appeared utterly candid. Smiling, he said, "In the vast Void Realm, what kind of life does not exist? There is an ancient legend: whenever a lifeform born from the Reversal of Rules appears, it is bound to be a great existence. A lifeform that reverses the rules possesses unimaginable potential. Lord Flame Emperor was once such a lifeform, born from flames, and in the end became one of the greatest of the Thirty-Six Emperors!"
Flameglow continued explaining. The Flame Emperor truly was unique and impossible to replicate. Although these wardens all bore the surname Flame, they were not actually one race. Rather, they were various alien races whom the Flame Emperor had taken in from different Planes throughout the Void Realm.
The true Flame Clan had only one member: the Flame Emperor!
"Mage Santo, just think of the Black Cat Didimos."
Merlin was the first to accept it. After all, the Black Cat Didimos had spent no short amount
