"So, what is your plan?" The doctor asked after entering TARDIS. Now that he is back on his home turf, he feels much more at ease.

"First, you need to show us how you travel through time. Our technology cannot adapt to the laws of this universe, and we cannot use it by force."

"No problem, is there any designated place?"

"Ancient Greece," Ian said casually. The doctor immediately began to press buttons and operate various levers on the console. However, TARDIS suddenly began to shake violently and uncontrollably.

"What happened?" The doctor asked, staring at the screen in front of him. "Are we dragging your city with us?"

"Yes, that is my spaceship, I must take it with me."

The doctor was speechless for a while and could only continue the work at hand. He pressed more buttons and entered the new weight data into the TARDIS system.

Soon, the group of people found themselves entering a tunnel, and Ian's eyes immediately lit up. A screen appeared out of thin air in front of him, and the data collected by Netheril was sent directly.

"Is this Time Vortex? It's so amazing," Ian said, immediately immersing himself in data analysis. "A dimensional plane where time and space meet, and they intersect at an angle determined by non-Euclidean geometry.

"Its essence should be endless time energy. This dimension exists 'outside' time and is therefore not bound by Law of Time and limitations."

Ian seemed to completely ignore the surrounding environment and said to himself:

"No, it's not just time and space. Light, darkness, matter and energy are constantly changing, combining and splitting here. This place is like a corridor that runs through all Creation. As long as you find the right path, you can travel to any place and any time in the universe."

Ian became very interested in this Time Vortex and its intricate structure. In his home universe, time is more like a long river, which requires fine manipulation to go upstream or downstream to fight against the powerful turbulence of time.

However, in this world, time is like a web full of complex paths that are difficult to navigate. Furthermore, in this world, time and space are two interrelated concepts, while in the world of Harry Potter, they are more independent and separate.

Time Vortex reminds Ian of Subspace in <Warhammer 40,000>. However, unlike Subspace, which is composed of Psychic Energy, Time Vortex is composed of time energy.

'Once you master this method, it shouldn't be a problem to pass Time Game,' Morgana suddenly said in his mind.

'Maybe.' What she said made sense, because this was indeed a new and innovative way of using time. However, he was not sure whether some technological civilization had invented a similar method. Moreover, Ian not only wanted to survive, but also wanted to give his opponent a heavy blow.

Hearing a cough, Ian came back to his senses and saw the doctor and Clara looking at him with strange eyes.

"Sorry."

"I can understand, after all, there are few things more attractive than unlocking the universe Truth. But please don't forget our goal."

The doctor just wants to end this chapter of his life as soon as possible, move on, and no longer be affected by the shadow of Time War.

"Give me a few days, and then we can move forward with the plan," Ian said. "Is there a room where I can rest?"

"Yes." The doctor took him to a room in TARDIS, and then returned to the control room.

"Is this person trustworthy?" Clara asked.

"To a certain extent. At least so far, he has not shown strong hostility towards us."

On the surface, this person seems to be a scientist at heart, but he was forced into this bad situation because of what Time Lord did in ancient times.

"That's true. But I always feel that he is dangerous."

"Of course he is dangerous. Don't you think I am not dangerous?" the doctor retorted calmly, while putting Sonic Screwdriver into a holder in the main control room. After running the diagnosis once, he frowned, and then ran it again.

In Ian's room:

'Do you think he believes my disguise?'

'It should be no problem, after all, your lies are mixed with some truth,' Morgana replied.

'No matter what, we just have to keep the status quo until we get what we want.' He never intended to conflict with the Doctor, it would only delay his voyage and make things more complicated.

The next day, Ian walked into the control room.

"This is a schematic diagram of our plan," Ian said, showing the doctor a holographic screen with dynamic parts. The doctor looked at it carefully for a few minutes and finally breathed a sigh of relief. The function of this device is just as Ian said - using Clara as a medium, accessing her timeline and looking for Gallifrey.

"There is room for improvement," the doctor suggested.

"Please," Ian signaled. Then, he witnessed with his own eyes how the last Time Lord had greatly improved his device. He took this opportunity to learn to improve the technological level of the Empire.

"Great job," Ian praised.

"Oh, this? It's a piece of cake," the doctor replied modestly.

"You can print this device yourself," Ian said. "Before we begin, we must take some precautions."

"For what? There's nothing wrong with this device."

"In my experience, things like this often go wrong. So we have to nip them in the bud."

"What about?"

"Of course you are fine," Ian added. "But Miss Oswald (Ms Oswald) is just an ordinary human being, prone to accidents. First, we must find a way to protect her mind or spirit. She will be exposed to countless versions of herself scattered across the timeline. If something goes wrong, her mind may collapse and become a schizophrenic."

"It makes sense, but the probability of that happening is extremely low."

"Do you want to take the risk?"

"Yeah, don't take the chance," Clara echoed.

"I can link her consciousness to the core of TARDIS; this should protect her from any complications."

"Good. Do you have the nanobots?"

"Are you trying to protect her body from physical harm in the event of an emergency?"

"That's right."

"I don't have any ready-made on board right now, but I can make some," replied the doctor.

"How long will it take?"

"Biotechnology is not my strong suit, so it may take some time."

"If you believe me, you can use mine," Ian said, a syringe appeared in his hand and handed it to the doctor. The latter scanned the thing with Sonic Screwdriver.

"What a powerful nanomachine."

"Is this a good thing?"

"With it, you can almost be said to be immortal."

"This is a gift I gave you as compensation for causing you trouble during this period," Ian added. However, he quickly noticed the hesitation on Clara's face.

"Don't refuse. In the future, if you meet someone you like and he has an accident, you just need to inject him with a little bit of your blood and everything will be fine."

"Wait, what does this mean?"

"You don't need to worry too much. Anyway, the future is always changing - especially with my intervention. So, things may not develop according to the trajectory I foresee."

Clara stared at Ian for a few seconds, then thanked him. Then she looked at the doctor, waiting for his decision.

"Clara, Immortality is not an easy thing. Living too long may be a curse."

"With this, can I travel with you for a long time?"

"Yes, but..."

"That's enough for me," Clara smiled. "Besides, if I don't want to keep them, can't I remove them?"

"Okay."

Without further hesitation, the Doctor injected her with nanobots. He then began building the device for their plan; he couldn't wait to see Gallifrey again.
