"How do you know all this?" Karak asked, making no secret of his suspicion.
"Dragon Fist Family is a distant descendant of the Dragon Slayer Royal Family," the general replied calmly.
"What?"
"Out of arrogance, the dragon slayers hunted dragons and Giant to extinction. For many generations, they had to rely on the inheritance of their bloodline to ensure they had strong souls, but as you can imagine, the power of their bloodline began to become thinner as generations changed.
"One of their rulers was wise enough to foresee the future of the Empire and his family, so he secretly hid several members to ensure that his bloodline could survive the destruction of the Styrix Empire."
"So, since then, your family has been studying how to regain the power of the dragon," Karak sneered.
"That's right," General Luke admitted calmly.
"Since you brought us here, it means you have succeeded," Selasi added. "Why don't you use it on yourself?"
General Luke was silent for a moment. "The cost of activating this Dragon Heart is the blood and energy of countless powerful warriors and mages."
"That's why you insisted on taking these soldiers with you," Verek said.
"You did a great job, Dragon Fist, for sacrificing my people like nothing," Karak sneered.
"Our sacrifice is for the future of our country," the general replied calmly.
"We? Do you mean--" Selasi asked.
"I never ask my men to do anything I don't want to do," the general replied calmly.
"I admire you," the Queen sighed.
"You must defeat that Arcanist," General Dragon Fist insisted. "This is the key to saving our world."
"So what if we defeat him? There is Arcane Empire behind him," Karak sneered.
"You must not only kill him, but also keep his tower intact," General Dragon Fist continued. "That thing contains the knowledge to elevate our civilization to the next level. With its technology, we can travel to other planes to collect resources. More importantly, if we lose to the Arcane Empire, we can also build another home for our people."
"We understand," Queen Selasi nodded. The general handed each of them a scroll and walked out of the room. A few seconds later, countless screams echoed in the cave, and then, a river of blood flowed straight towards the huge stone.
As soon as Claude detected the huge energy reading in the area, he immediately sent out several Wizard's Eye to check that location. Although he had conquered the world, he was still extremely careful. Later, he saw the three former rulers floating in the sky, releasing their aura and energy for the whole world to perceive.
"Interesting. Is this a challenge?" Claude did not flinch and quickly teleported to their location.
"You have to be careful," the witch immediately warned through Soul Link. "I detected a dragon-like force that expanded their Soul Dimension and protected their souls."
"No wonder they are so confident to challenge," Claude nodded.
"One more thing. It seems that the Law Resonance spell is about to expire, which means that Planar Will will become active and limit your power. You should win this battle as soon as possible."
"I had expected that this prototype would malfunction," Claude replied. "Don't forget to exaggerate the matter in the report so that the government can reimburse us."
"No problem."
Claude looked at the three people, but his attention was mainly focused on Queen Selasi: "Everything I have read about you shows that you have the talent to become Arcanist, although you are more of a battle mage than a scholar; but you are still Arcanist. Instead of wasting time in this pointless battle, why not follow me? I will tell you all the benefits of becoming Arcanist."
"Outsiders, we have sacrificed too much for this opportunity. Nothing you say can convince us to surrender," Selasi replied coldly.
"What a pity," Claude said, and two magic circles instantly appeared around him. Two spirits appeared; the first was dressed like a Africa warrior holding two machetes, and the other was a black female warrior holding a spear.
Selasi frowned, waved his hands, and cast several buff spells on his allies, including physical strengthening spells, mana recovery spells, magic immunity spells, and life energy enhancement spells.
'With Dragon Soul, harnessing magic becomes so effortless,' Selasi thought to himself.
Claude seemed unconcerned and directed his ancestral spirit to attack his opponent. The machete warrior locked onto Karak, while the woman rushed towards Verek.
Boom!
Selasi rained down a burst of lightning on the opponent's head, but Claude remained calm under the protection of the magic shield. Selasi hit the Snap, generating two huge flame tornadoes, trying to twist Claude into pieces. However, he calmly changed the properties of the magic shield to restrain wind and fire magic, leaving him unscathed.
'Damn, why is he so powerful?' Selasi complained. She only used two spells in the fight, but she could already sense the huge disparity in strength between them, especially Claude who didn't even move a step.
'I've never been able to successfully cast that spell, but maybe it will work now,' Selasi thought. She wasted no time and guided the magic in her body and environment by controlling the vibrations of her body. Claude noticed something and immediately raised her head.
'Meteorite? Interesting. It seems she is quickly adapting to her newfound power,' he analyzed. The longer this battle goes on, the stronger the Queen will become. Claude raised his hand to perform Dual Casting. The first spell shrunk the meteorite coming towards him Accio to the size of a tennis ball. Then, as the meteorite approached him, the second spell activated.
The second spell reversed all the kinetic energy of the meteorite and redirected it to Selasi. As a result, the tennis ball-sized meteorite flew towards the former queen at an unparalleled speed. Selasi reacted quickly and activated countless shields to defend, but this was meaningless. The power contained in the meteorite was too great and directly penetrated these shields.
The Queen did buy herself enough time to teleport away, but the shock wave generated by the small meteorite shook her internal organs, causing her to be slightly injured.
'I am no match for him in a one-on-one fight,' Selasi realized this immediately. So, she checked her partners to see if they could join forces to besiege this Arcanist.
Unfortunately, their situation is not ideal. The two emperors have the advantage in strength, mainly due to her previous buff magic. However, these spirits are not only highly skilled, but also have a huge advantage: no physical or magical attacks can harm them.
'Damn,' Selasi cursed after seeing the situation clearly. The souls of these two people may no longer be defective, but they cannot use their souls to attack, which means they cannot kill these spirits at all. In other words, Claude is still targeting their weaknesses to ensure that they win this battle.
Selasi raised her hand to cast a spell on these spirits, but as Claude waved her hand, her spell dissipated.
"What just happened?" she asked.
"I've had enough fun," Claude replied.
Selasi's sense of crisis soared to the extreme, so she instinctively became more ferocious. She used her most powerful spell--Space Magic. In the past, all her space spells took several minutes to cast, but with the newly acquired huge soul, these spells can be cast instantly.
The Queen controlled the vibrations of her body and cast a Spatial Cutting spell. However, Claude released another vibration, and her spell dissipated.
"No, that's impossible," Selasi said, and tried Dimensional Exile again. However, the result remained the same. "What did you do?"
"Anti-Magic," Claude answered truthfully. "Compared with the Empire, your civilization's understanding and use of magic is like a baby trying to harm the world's top scholars."
Selasi looked livid and tried a few more spells. When she realized that her efforts were in vain, a flash of fierceness flashed in her eyes. Dragon Fist The book that General gave her contained a last-ditch effort to save the world, and now it seemed that she had to use it.
