After we returned from Zodiacal, the Proxy pulled me into the bedroom to hide away. Anyone could see that she was deeply unsettled...
She took off her helmet, then pulled off that lifelike synthetic mask.
Only in this bedroom would she show her true face.
"Proxy, you went too far."
Despite my words, she kept holding me, seeking some sort of comfort, as though that could soothe her unease and fear.
I wasn't quite sure what she was afraid of. I simply told her what I thought.
"If a magical girl's personality disappears, that's no different from dying. It's irreversible. You shouldn't have done this."
The magical girls in both Zodiacal's assault and infiltration units had undergone mass Cocooning. Black mud surged out of their bodies and wrapped around them, becoming incubation chambers for their Witch Personas.
Nothing like this had ever happened before.
"Miluno, I don't have much time left either."
The Proxy kept her face buried against my chest.
"The Earth Crystal probably already knows who I am. I wouldn't be surprised if I disappeared at any moment now. I'm afraid I'll have to say goodbye early."

"Because A-Liu absorbed your genes?"
"That's decisive evidence. I probably can't hide it anymore."
She had said that she was a foreign presence that shouldn't exist in this worldline. If her true identity was discovered, some supreme power would erase her.
"But Enheria's dream still hasn't come true. I probably won't live to see that day. At least I have to make sure these magical girls can't get in our way anymore... Without magical girls, Zodiacal will exist in name only, and SpiCa won't have enough strength to stop Zodiacal either."
