She was nostalgic. Even after taking over the Lunar City, she still chose to work here.

As I muttered that, the Proxy, who had been busy reviewing documents, quickly wriggled away from her desk and came over to the sofa to lean against my shoulder...
Ever since she had confirmed she would not disappear so easily, she had suddenly become very clingy. That clinginess was reserved for me alone, though; she remained tough in front of everyone else.
She also said, "The Great Will's target is me. It called A-Yao a fake, which means... A-Yao has no value for it to absorb. Besides, she wouldn't be that easy to absorb, either. She still has the Earth Crystal's protection."
I disagreed and asked, "Would you run around carrying something you didn't need? If it had thrown A-Yao away earlier, it could have escaped faster, but it didn't. That means it really does want to use A-Yao for something..."
The Proxy continued, "Exactly. The Great Will knows she's valuable to us. Maybe it'll use her as a hostage to get something out of us... But let me make this clear: I'm not handing myself over."
What a pointless declaration. Was she really that insecure?
"Don't worry. No one's going to trade you for her. You're both equally important."
As I reassured her, I reached out and wrapped my arm around her soft, slender waist. But she slid down a little, pressing her soft pair against my forearm and resting her fluffy head on my chest, her eyes closed as she snorted unhappily.
"Hmph! I'm more important, aren't I?!"
